CM's before 6.0

I know, it's late in the game, and it's a real bitch to get these groups off the ground, but I'm gonna try one more time...
Let's do some CMs!
I'm not aiming for records, I'm not even that interested in getting gold unless the other people who join me are willing to work at them as long as it takes. I just want to get silvers for my mounts before it's too late, and time is running out. I want to do these on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the next coming weeks before 6.0. My intention is to do them all on my monk (as WW/BM) *or* my shaman (ele) and I know there's plenty of people who still want to do them. I'm not gonna elaborate on "you need to have BiS challenge mode gears and be the best you can be," this is literally just a shot at silver for those who still need it.
Post here if you're interested. If there's enough noise being made for a gold group, I'm willing to go out of my way to farm invis pots for the whole group and do my best to get it all together for a solid 9/9. However, I won't be tanking if it is gold people want, so I will need someone capable and willing to take up the responsibility if such is the case.

Gonna spend some time working on picking up better trinkets for my monk during the daytime so hit me up either of those days if you're interested.

Deje — Sat, 09/13/2014 - 17:25I'd say the best way to prepare is through doing proving grounds. Since the gear is scaled and tweaked (I believe you don't have to worry about hit or expertise, but don't quote me on that), you can try and set up a set of armor focused primarily around filling as many gem slots as you can, you'll be surprised what is actually good and what is not (trinkets especially). You can look up videos too, but theflow comes from trial and error with the group you have.

saedo — Wed, 09/17/2014 - 02:09Ok so I did pull out some old gear, slapped some different (and non-legendary) gems in it, and it does keep your hit/expertise levels when scaled down. Enh shaman stuff on this seems more tricky to find cause most guides just say "go elemental". Anyways, went and played in proving grounds, and after hours of struggling with it, finally got the gold star..... Only to find out I completely forgot to equip that special set of gear I made. /facepalm
Anyways, this terrible player is slightly more ready for this!

Elapsed — Wed, 09/17/2014 - 10:05Hit/exp are left at whatever % you have them at. So you'll still need to get cap. Also you can just zone into Mogu'shan Palace solo set to CM and see what your stuff is set to. I found that helpful while trying to find a balance between spirit and haste
