Oh, and one other thing real quick:

1)  Your time spent dps'ing is a bit lower than it ought to be.  Based on the parses your active time on Al'ar was 54% spent dps'ing, meaning you either spent a lot of time twiddling your thumbs, spent a lot of time running to mobs, or the mobs genuinely died REALLY fast.

That said, if you are going to be using those boots for a while, I'd highly recommend a Boar's Speed (9 Stamina, Movement Speed Increase) or a Cat's Speed (6 Agility, Movement Speed Increase) enchant on them.  Not only will you get some stats but it's been theorycrafted and "proven" that in many cases, higher movement speed leads to better overall dps.

The less time you spend getting to your target, the more time you have to kill it, basically.

Looking over the parses and an armory link to Pux's gear ... I can see a few things that could change.

1)  [Jewel of Charismatic Mystique] - need to dump this.  It's not really worth using, considering it's an "On Use:" effect; and any threat-reduction you need really comes from spec and being smart (aka stop attacking if your threat is high).  Recommended replacement:  [Bloodlust Brooch] (41 Badges) or [Abacus of Violent Odds] (Mechanar).

2)  Gear - I like to have a whole mess of strength and agility on my gear.  You have a lot of PvP gear, which is good for misc. fill-ins, but it has a lot of wasted stats on non-raid stats (very heavy on stamina, resilience, and attack power - not a lot of strength, agility [which I prefer over crit rating], hit rating, or set bonuses).  Try to sneak into some guild Karazhan raids and get some T4.

3)  Hit rating.  From spec you already have +9% to hit, but with dual-wielding you should try to get more than 58 additional hit rating.  I like to ride right around 100 hit rating.  At the moment, Luchs is at 115, and our premiere raiding Enhancement Shaman (Turth) is at 130-ish.

4)  I dunno what your shock/ability rotation is, here's what I tend to roll with on my shaman, Luchs:

a)  Stormstrike every time available; if Stormstrike debuff is active on target, Earth Shock every time it is available
b)  If no Stormstrike debuff active, Flame Shock instead of Earth Shock every other time your shock CD is available (that is, alternate between the two).
c)  In the event of AoE pulls, toss a Magma Totem down and pop Chain Lightning a few times while meleeing.

Check Luchs's armory for details about my spec and gear.  He's right around where you are at, gear-wise, and when I'm in Atar's raid I typically hang out in the top 6 dps the whole night.  Also check the parses, see if I'm doing anything you aren't.

I may be just a smidge late (6:30-6:40ish), but I'm parked at the summoning stone with everything I need, so if someone will save me a spot I shouldn't hold us up at all.

Also, Pux (guild app enh sham) will be ready to go if we have room for him.  When I ran into him online today, he was already configuring all of the raid addon pack mods, buying raid mats, and said he planned on re-reading the strats before raid.

Garreth there are multiple sites on the subject. I commonly refer to some stickies on the official paladin forums. As far as crafted 2her v drops, Gorehowl and Hammer of the Narru (which actually is extremely good imo minus the spelldamage) are both ret viable till others begin to drop. Barring being unable to get one of those I am trying to lose my way to the S1 2h Sword atm.

As far as blacksmithing goes, I have it on my other paladin. And although it is extremely useful, with current raids/drops available (even the 2h off the last boss of ZA, which yes i know is awhile off) means that due to the time required to level blacksmithing it would likely not be max use in the longrun. The goggles themselves from Engineering will last me a lot longer than the 2h from blacksmithing would.

As far as haste for alliance paladins: We will not actively go after a piece of gear just because it has haste on it. However just because an item has haste on it does not mean we will not take it. However, I believe this is enough for this thread, I am off to make a blog now :D

You get a 2h that allows you to step into a 25 man raid.  There isn't a legit 2h anywhere near your crafted hammer/sword until fathomlord.

Garreth lies, blacksmithing pays for nothing and is full of "i leveled did all these quests and all I got for it was a silly sword that I may be able to upgrade"  Go engineering imo, full of win, loveliness and might I say a sexy transporter malfunction.

Yes I willingly admit I need more gear. I need to get in a Gruul pug as High King has 2 very useful items for me. The catch is the fact that for pve I will be wearing more warrior gear than paladin gear. And although the pvp gear is nice, school constraints prevent non stop grinding (like I did last week to get to 70).

Long story short, I am gonna be looking up lists of PvE gear (and craftables) that I can use to augment pvp stuff. Dunno where I should post it though.

Seth the druid is available for hots and Mendaren can play Captnopants if you need the heals.

This makes your healers: Aidin, Warion, Nr, Seth, Carno, Capt, Tenbears, Makafis, Shawdogg.  A very good pool of healers.

Non-regular DPS options tonight: Ret Pally: Dragonspear (still needs much gear),  Pyrael, DPS Warrior: Leghumper, Rogue: Escrima.
