Ive found that bringing a
Nellem1 — Fri, 04/18/2008 - 12:53Ive found that bringing a variety of items is very helpful for me as a lock.
10+x Adepts Elixer (Battle Elixer)
10+xElixer of Draeconic Wisdom (Guardian - useful to avoid healers having to spend any extra mana required to heal up a lock. these reduce the amount of taps that are required => reduce the amount of heals required).
or 2-3x Flask of Pure Death
10-15 charges of Superior Wizard Oil
a stack of Blackened Basilisk along with other +stam food.
I try to bring around 20 shards also, and pick up a bunch on the trash mobs.
I usually carry around 2 stacks of super mana pots just in case, along with a stack or two of major healing pots.
always have some bandages available, just incase i dont have any health to life tap some mana back.
i also almost always have some other types of buff food to share. so in the event someone runs out of something, i may have more for them to have.

You are not ready to raid if you are not properly gemmed and enchanted!!!!
On a pure power-healing,
garreth — Wed, 04/02/2008 - 13:50On a pure power-healing, short fight like, say Teron or Akama, nothing beats a [Flask of Distilled Wisdom] for a Holy Paladin.
We get 0.35*65 = 22.75 +heal from it as well as 975 mana and about 1% spell crit. So it really kicks in and helps holy pallys on three fronts.
A [Flask of Mighty Restoration] gives 25 mp5. A fight would have to last for 3 minutes and 15 seconds before the Resto flask would benefit a paladin more (on purely mana alone) than the Wisdom flask.
If we're ending boss fights with any more than 10% mana, could probably switch to Distilled Wisdom's to pump out more raw numbers!
