You do need to run the
Dufe — Thu, 04/24/2008 - 10:12You do need to run the optimizer, otherwise it can be wierd. Even afterwards you'll see some quirks, but as you've pointed out, they are easy to identify and ignore. I think the biggest thing is that Hyjal was really built for Arcane mages: short boss fights, lots of AOE. Even if your arcane gearing isn't 100% ideal just yet, I would very strongly recommend doing arcane for Hyjal. Even the early BT boss fights are fairly short and arcane friendly. (Supremus is longer, but you run around so much, that mana seems to grow on trees from all the regen time you get.)
Also make sure on rawr (if you haven't already) that you fill in all the raid buffs you usually get, it makes a huge difference in the optimization. I've been setting the fight length to 4 minutes for now, seems like a fair enough average for most of Hyjal, though to inlcude BT you might want to do 5min. If it crashes when you try to optimize, it probably means you don't have ALL of the gear/enchant/gems slots marked for what you have available and what you don't - it doesn't like that very much.

BTW Paladin's, that is why im always screaming for wisdom. I am unfortunately counting on it to be on a boss nearly the entire fight. Especially in hyjal where I am blowing exorcism at every CD as well.

I have a rule for dpsers: We won't yell at you for pulling aggro (unless you're Karli and it's Illidan Phase 5). If you're giving your tank the allotted amount of time to generate threat, then open up and go fucking-buck-ass-wild-monkey-nuts on dps. Starting pulling consistently then we'll ask for people to ease off. However, if that's not the case, absolutely nuke the shit out of the target, never let off.
The threat gen from Grovinski on a demon boss (all Hyjal bosses) will be absolutely MASSIVE, so I would hope that threat cap is not an issue from here on out!

- Heh imo, not very good. There is a significant gear gap between the 2. So, there should be a signficant dps gap as well. Looks like one won out on DPS but lost out on presence to lose in damage.
