We took Pumas along for a mAlt Gruul/Mag this weekend. So far the silent stoic type. He knew his stuff...he tanked his targets (or dps'ed when necessary) without a word in vent. My slacker ass forgot to Parse it, so I don't have numbers for u to all pick apart yet.
While we have our druids pretty set for LF1M and for Hamfist, his response to waiting for raid indicates that while 25 mans would be nice, he's really interested in the community, badge runs, 5-mans and such. He can tank my mAlt 25 mans anytime!
P.S. BTW I noticed that Liquidhax doesn't have his tailoring up to 375,
I don't think he is worthy of being in our guild if that's how little
he cares about his toons. :-)
Pumas helped out the kara run we had on Tuesday, and helped make sure it was a lot of fun. He was a great off tank (Little bit short on gear but that's why we're in there) and as Coryni commented earlier his battle awareness impressed me a few times, being aware enough to switch out of tanking, innervate a healer and switch right back into the grove with nothing lost.
He also seemed like a very layed back guy, he was great fun to tank along side.
P.S. BTW I noticed that Liquidhax doesn't have his tailoring up to 375, I don't think he is worthy of being in our guild if that's how little he cares about his toons. :-)
Good run with you today in Kara buddy. I think you made it a relaxing easy run. Not to mention the numerous random pick ups...and who killed Maidan of Virture after we all were dead except for the three the healers? You! Good job today! See you friday when we tackle Prince!
The reason I'm sitting on the lv. 300 professions at 70, Dufe, is simple -
It shows a certain level of dedication to what you're doing. Granted yes, Pumas, you did instancing and what have you to get to 70. Which means you probably saw a fair number of pieces of gear go to you that you didn't need/want to use, or couldn't use. You may well have disenchanted them in the process -
Which means you had access to the mats required to level your enchanting skill, but ultimately chose not to. I'm not holding this against you per se, but it shows a lack of ... I dunno, effort to be blunt. And if you're "going to drop skinning" you might as well do it sooner than later, because with the rate of inflation nowadays mats for crafting are only going to get MORE expensive.
Missing gems, professions @ 300.. Not even kara gear.. The content you'd be able to see would be very very very very limited. Having the cubes & rotations in magtheridon is what actually made the fight "challenging". Mag was never hard to begin with, not even pre-nerf(s) (thats including his first initial release).
Im planing on droping skinning, and I just wanted to level quickly to 70 so I didnt bother. I been spending most of my time doing instances for new gear and enchanting/geming the gear with my gold. I have also been doing battle grounds for honor for new gear also.
Im not too worried about my profession at the moment. Its expensive and Im working on gear and worrying about buying gems and enchanting mats and repair bills at the moment. I already know people that will enchant/cut gems for my gear for free I just need the mats.
Ill get my profession up but my money and time is better spent trying to get loot.
As for Magtheridon I just dont like the fight thats why I said it. My opinion.
The question, Pumas, is ... why didn't you bother leveling enchanting and skinning on your way to lv. 70? With so many quest rewards, it was incredibly easy (and cheap) to level enchanting along the way - I was a 300 Enchanter/Engineer when BC hit, and by the time I was lv. 70 I was almost at 375 enchanting. Skinning is even easier to level.
Why didn't you spend the minimal amount of gold require to train?
Pre-BC I used skinning just to make money, it was easy to level and my enchanting was the skill I used. There arent any real useful skills to go with enchanting (like for example: mining and blacksmithing go well together) so I made casual money with skinning. Now so many dailies in the game I get alot of gold from them. I did not Ebay, I promise. I was in TKO, raided with the Cartel (Tefarin was my druid raid leader), did AQ20 with Leoalo (his alt Golem), and did battlegrounds with Whitesword, Conanx, Galathil, and Everlance. I just leveled this character to 70 last month and didnt bother with skinning anymore because of the fact that I am going to drop it and maybe get engineering.
Here is a link to my old main (that Im done with), that I spent most of BC playing
I just transfered him back to this server on horde.
Here is the story why I have 2 accounts. My friend Juicer (warrior on this server) bought a horde account a few months before BC to play as shaman and just to have one. I ended up playing it so much it became my main when BC was released. Juicer said it was cool that I can transfer him so I transferd him to Dragonmaw server. I stoped playing my shaman and am focusing on my druid from now on and transfered the shaman back to gorgonnash.
I used to be all about arena and PVP but I stoped, too unbalanced, too much time waisted. And it seems blizzard thinks its fine.
While mining isn't quite at easy to lvl as skinning I managed
to get to 70 on Cory and her mining was 200 something ><Granted then I have dropped it for tailoring-
ubber yummy frost shadow weave ftw!
dont figure you learn to inervate while tanking from ebay..... i could be wrong though. how the hell did you lvl to 70 with skinning still at 300 though. i dont even see how thats possiable.
