Arena Hunter

I am quite the busy body today on the forums. I have 2 70's as everyone knows, an ex-raiding rogue Barqs, and a "I dont why I am here" hunter. Barqs i want to keep as my raiding char, and plan to try and squeeze his ass back into end game when I have the time, but my hunter, i am not feeling it. Sure I can do kara and what not, but thats too much raiding and Pve for my liking. Lately I have been toying around with some pvp on her to boost her gear out of the blues and into some epics, and I think i would like to try her hand at some arena eventully. Are there and starting 2/2 3/3 5/5 that could use a hunter, and also I am thinking the survival tree is best for arena, i need opinions from hunters on that though.. that is all, and i promise to stop posting new forum topics..right............................about.............................................................................................................

Btw shihli, what imp clever traps will allow for is 12 snakes when you lay your snake trap. and a 39 second frost trap. both of which are very useful ;-)

Spec I used to use when I arena'd in Season 1 and hit 1685 with like 150 resil.

I'm a big fan of BM for 2v2 if only because of 18sec immunity to ... well, almost everything. However, Turth speaks the truth (ugh) - MM is the premiere PvP tree at the moment for all levels of arena play.

Barqz — Tue, 04/29/2008 - 10:31yeah i wasnt thinking full survival, more hybridish, the first few tiers seemed apealing, imp trap, more health, etc. but marks is the way to go then? grasen can you give me a good marks variation for pvp, i am 20/41 pve marks atm. and also is suvival good for anything, honost question?

Grasen — Tue, 04/29/2008 - 10:17I'm not sold on the full surv in arena. I prefer a marks surv blend myself. (mostly marks) silence with 20 sec cd > wyvern sting with 2 min cd imo. My current spec is what i like to use for arenas. now i dont suggust mirroring mine but something similer is what i would recomend. Look at your playstyle and build your spec around that. catch me in vent later and we can go over all 3 trees and their pro's and con's and your playstyle and design whats best for you.

Enixa — Tue, 04/29/2008 - 10:14Survival is not a tree to pursue in Arena. Wyvern Sting is only so good but any class with a healer can get rid of it. The stacking Debuff won't be as effect anymore due to people having a lot more Resil (Resil = Less Crit = Less Expose Weakness) For 2v2, nick a resto Druid or Disc priest and play marks. Jasmynn managed to make 1850 with BM (God knows how) But marks should be superior for 2v2. You might be able to get away with BM in 3v3 but if you manage to nag a 5v5 team then it's gotta be marks.
