To Whom it May Concern
convertibull — Thu, 05/08/2008 - 07:28
So I haven't been around nearly as much as I used to and have not been around for a few raids getting started. I suppose I have been trying to find other things to do than WoW as I feel I'm burning out on the game again. My sleep cycle is completely thrown off right now and that is the main reason I'm not online during raid forming, but aside from that I really am just not enjoying playing my character all that much. I've been playing alts, different games, staying offline, things of that sort and its helping me not be bored by it all. I just kind of feel bad because of all the time put into my priest just sort of sitting there going to waste. I may or may not cancel my subscription sometime soon so that I can get RL sorted out. I really don't know as far as that's concerned. I enjoy raiding with everyone and will go if I am needed but at this point I would rather any spot available to me go to someone who really really wants to be there and will continue to be there for the raid. This is in no way a goodbye post or anything. Just a mere heads up to all who might be interested in my current state and what not. <3 you guys.

J/K ILU.
I'll miss you, go get your stuff sorted out hon, and come visit on vent sometimes(cause, you know, i'm EVER in vent outside of raiding >.>)
If I had a car, that could go underwater... xoxo, Josalin
I ran across this problem
Vulk — Thu, 05/08/2008 - 12:31I ran across this problem not to long ago myself, the way i remedied it was I started logging on for raids an nothing else, didn't mess with alts, stopped doing dailies. For me at least this worked and is still working, I'm enjoying the game more than ever now and it leaves time to sort RL out. And trust me when I say my RL was screwed up. I won't go into details but I've been calling it my early Mid-life Crisis for over a year now and hoping I'm right because your only supposed to have one of them lol.
Do what you need, I'm sure you'll come back to wow sometime and enjoy yourself again :)

I think it's cool, because
Enixa — Thu, 05/08/2008 - 10:49I think it's cool, because it makes people fear me. I'm a scary guy. I have big teeth and stuff.
That put me in Tears G. Literally I laughed so hard i coughed up what's left of my sickeness....
Bull. No more love sessions at night? Enjoy the time off.. literally... ENJOY it. You will feel the game is more pleasurable after a short- medium sized break.
GTFO ASSHOLE. J/k ;) I L U
garreth — Thu, 05/08/2008 - 10:34GTFO ASSHOLE.
J/k ;) I L U 'bull. I've apparently gotten this recent reputation as "OMFGWOWISLIFEANDIFYOU'RENOTPLAYING12HOURSADAYIGKICK YOU". I think it's cool, because it makes people fear me. I'm a scary guy. I have big teeth and stuff.
But the real me suggests that you please take some time off and go play xbox or frisbee or dress up or something. Seriously, take some time off. As long as you want. Understand that you won't have an insta-raid spot upon your return, but I think it's far more important that you get your RL stuff together.
Do it, unwind, relax, go do not-WoW stuff. Please.
And Convertibull, though I
Shihli — Thu, 05/08/2008 - 08:55And Convertibull, though I give you hell (and admittedly, have you on mute on vent during raids), I wish you the best and hope you get things straightened out.
suspending my account is
convertibull — Thu, 05/08/2008 - 08:26suspending my account is what I meant more or less. Just not pay for it for a month or so. I'm never ever ever ever ever going to delete my characters again. That was my worst idea ever in WoW. It did, however, provide as a good learning experience. I also wouldn't be here with all the DF folk if I hadn't done it so it has its ups and downs. Finding something outside of wow though... definately what I am hoping for.
I will miss you and be happy
Glowy — Sun, 05/11/2008 - 20:32I will miss you and be happy to see you when you come back. <3 <3 <3
I <3 you! I know how you are
Nhia (not verified) — Thu, 05/08/2008 - 08:23I <3 you!
I know how you are feeling. At least you aren't already labeled "emo case" tho. I sometimes think i didnt take enough time off between my last guild and this one. Everyone expects me to leave and frankly I feel like everyone is waiting for it to happen. Which has kinda made it hard for me to enjoy things.
My game has been really screwy the last few days and I can't understand and find a reason why. It doesnt help when i get pm'd saying i'm a drama queen and i'm takin out my frustrations on the raid. I dont think i did that in the least. I think maybe everyone would be better off w/out me in raid? I enjoy raiding, but i dont enjoy getting called names and i certainly dont enjoy lagging to hell in a raid where ppl count on you.
My apologies to Holee for ambushing his blog. I just kinda feel poopy too.
To clarify (again, sorry for
Shihli — Thu, 05/08/2008 - 08:55To clarify (again, sorry for ambushing your blog here 'bull):
1) Nhia, you aren't labelled as an "emo case" nor do we consider you a "drama queen." The fact that we have a long, long history of epic shaman /gquit's is more of a joke than anything else, and was never intended as a personal attack or label.
2) Last night was extremely rough on the raid officers. I typically have a microphone and can bark out pulls, tank order, kill order, etc - so when I have no mic that duty falls onto someone else's shoulders. No one really took it upon themselves, so pulls and such last night were very hectic. This, coupled with a main tank that disconnected a few times and a healer (of which we were already running with fewer than we should have, but had no other choice) who was also chain disconnecting. I had spoken up in Officer chat about an option that presented itself, if your connection didn't stabilize and Pk kept d/c'ing. This suggestion was acted upon a bit hastily, which led to your initial raid leave.
I asked you to come back because I know you enjoy raiding and because decisions were being made too hastily. However, just "leaving" the raid, particularly when it's off to a poor start, doesn't do ANYONE any good, and only mounted more frustrations on the raid officers. When you came back, you told the raid that you would brb to adjust some mods, etc. What the officers didn't know is that you kept logging out after every trash pull to dink with mods a bit further. To us, the officers, it appeared as though you were constantly disconnecting.
When someone is replaced in raid for a night (which IS the case here), it isn't done to be mean to them, or to demote them, or anything of the sort. It is because the raid needs to progress. In nearly an hour of raiding last night we hadn't even cleared half the trash due to poor communication on pulls (my fault), errant disconnects, and the sort.
The raid would certainly NOT be "better off" without you. At the moment we're hurting for healers, and you're one of our better ones. Last night's actions on many fronts and from many people were a bit overly dramatic in general. No one's sitting here accusing you of being a "drama queen". Furthermore, I don't think anyone was calling you names - if you took our discussion last night as me calling you names, I apologize and I did not intend to hurt your feelings.
You've got a place in our raids and you're a great guild member. So please don't assume you're anything less than one of the best things Hamfist has going for it.
I knew she was logging after
Katibug — Thu, 05/08/2008 - 10:26I knew she was logging after every pull, I should have been more vocal about it.
There are a few things you
Katibug — Thu, 05/08/2008 - 08:20There are a few things you can do here:
1) Go to sleep at the same time every night. Don't stay online until the wee hours of the night. Make yourself a schedule and stick to it.
2) Suspend your account, don't cancel it. If you really need to take time off, make sure you can come back!
3) Find something outside WoW that you can focus on and have fun with too. Balance things out as best you can so that you can enjoy logging in.
More later, gotta work!
