Exploit Awareness in Arenas.

I just want to let everyone know that there is currently an exploit in arenas (and everywhere else I'd imagine) that allows players to walk through gates and see players anywhere regardless of stealth, invisability, etc.
The exploit is a series of macros that tweaks the graphics to make door doodads not exist, and to change the skins on characters to have them appear. I am still unaware if these players are targetable or can only be hit by AOE spells.
This macro was first noted on the World of Warcraft forums about a month ago. I CM posted he/she will look into it. But last night there was an explosion of posts regarding the mentioned exploit on both the US forums and the Euro forums. According to one CM I saw he posted saying that he does not believe the dev team nows about this and he will notify them immediately.
This really tics me off, how do they not know about it when there was a post someone linked dated over a month ago with a CM saying he'll look into it. As of last night a CM has not posted if there will be any changes in the arena tournament or on live realms for players who were affected. Using this macro will flag you, and if you are cuaght you will get a permanent ban.
For more information and the posts I am talking about (tons of them, most link to the blue threads) just search your friendly search engine for 'stealth exploit macro', you will get about 10 hits all pointing to posts in either the US or Euro forums.

Part of the reason Blizzard
Shihli — Thu, 05/15/2008 - 15:14Part of the reason Blizzard didn't take action a month ago likely has to do with the chain of communication and command. A CM is *not* a developer. CM's don't actually change anything in-game, the best they can do is relay info to Blizzard's devs and hope they do something about it.
