So, it's been a while since I documented my (mis)adventures as a paladin. Level 62 now! Grinded up my engineering all the way to 350 (well 355 now) and sporting a nifty pair of [Justicebringer 2000 Specs]. Though I do must wear cloth now cause it's the only stuff I have that have sockets in em, and they're better healing gear anyways, all for the sake of getting the [Insightful Earthstorm Diamond] to activate. Anyone know the proc rate and how much mana it gives? I only had a bit of recount and it only gave back like 900 mana in an entire Blood Furnace run.
So, for a level 62 these are my current stats:
- 614 Healing
- 22.61% Holy Crit
- 27 MP5 while casting
- 6950 Mana
Heh for 5 mans, as long as only 1 guy is taking damage, still seems like my heals are too much for their health pools. lol Think highest so far is like a 6.7K hp druid and I can lay 3-4K heals on em. Hardly ever go oom too.
Solo'ing elites is kinda cool too. On my rogue I'd have to pop CDs and use tricks enough in a race to kill it before it kills me. lol On the pally it is basically auto attack, and heal. Sure it may take 5-10 mins to kill but they'll die. lol Dunno why but I find some sort of perverse pleasure out of this.
Also, with level 62, I found Crusader Aura! Yes it's fun! I understand why it should always be on now! lol There's gotta be a mod out there that auto turns it on when you mount, and turn it off otherwise! I should look.
Anyways as a final note, I'll post my "healing" UI. Heh it's very crappy. One day I'll fix it. Maybe.

saedo — Tue, 05/20/2008 - 15:20So to continue this little rambling blog on dps healing. Did Slave Pens. Heh, FoL spamming definitely can't cut it. Sometimes ppl just take too much damage so gotta weave in HL. Though that does make me go oom on those pulls.

LoL...I do this EVERY time... It becomes such a habit though, sometimes I forget to check to make sure it's not on CD...and then oops when I'm prot...5 isn't bubble...SPLAT! lol

Though I kinda find FoL spamming a bit more difficult. Definitely weaker heals as a part of it. But healing multiple ppl seemed harder too. Might be because I'm more used to Quartz + Mage spell spamming. I'd load up the heals in the red zone. So, less time to switch targets inbetween, while HL gives me a 2-2.5 sec reaction time lol

It's godly when you're spamming, basically. Int is great for crit + mana + healing (when spec'd).

Still only really using Holy Light so I'd wait the 30 sec into the fight til they take 1.5-2K+ damage before laying it on em.

garreth — Mon, 05/19/2008 - 09:45Yeah, it's really made for Flash spam situations like, say, Hydross, Reliquary, Bloodboil. But, the int is almost more important as it gives mana, crit and +healing.
