It's such a miniscule thing to critique in the first place. I understand the principle you're getting at, but its not worth the breath, he said he didn't want to change it, leave it be.
Well, in your criticism you make a good point: We don't need anymore dps warriors who don't know what the hell they're doing and won't change to optimize.
No one cares what resolution you play at, if he wants to play at that level, let him be. If it was a mod he didnt want to download, it'd be a different story, but being picky about his resolution? Honestly?
I do recall occasions when certain persons have died on a boss fight for having their spell detail too low for "Optimal Performance", if he plays well at that resolution, there be nothing more too add.
yeah bro i understand what your saying. But i am used to it like that. i have had my computer for almost 1 year now. And have played in that resolution since day one, and on top of that experiance no sorts of screen rips or FPS flaws. Try and convince a left handed pitcher to pitch left handed.
Exanimus, this is EXACTLY the menality I'm trying to break our apps of and why, so far, I'm not seeing Df material here. If you join Downfall you're going to have to get used to doing a LOT of things differently in WoW and otherwise.
From raid mods to Vent protocol to conduct to theorycraft to attendance to site usage: all things I guarantee you will need to adopt to fit in and mesh well with us. When I hear people say things like "Well that's just the way I've always done it and I won't change" I don't even bother spending my time on them, they're already a lost cause.

I never said i WILL NEVER CHANGE man, if you have a suggestion on to what resolution to set it to, and it is correct ill change it to take maximum advantage of the performance of my computer
If you think this is rough, just imagine guild chat.
Garreth is being very sarcastic (or is it sardonic in this case), but in no way is he being rough. And I have to say that using a non-native resolution on a widescreen monitor to make your night elf look "buff" is ... well, to be frank it's a REALLY silly decision. If you'd wanted to be short, squat, and beefy, you should'a been an orc or a dwarf.
It's like if you wanted to buy a musclecar but could only afford a Volkswaagen Beetle, then went through the process of buying car parts to "beef" up your Bug. Because dude, it's still a bug.
"Let me guess, you can't get Vent to work either? You also like to drive with the parking brake on because you "like the way it feels"? "
No, my vent works fine and my mic is crystal clear. And as for the parking brake comment, is there another way you could issue me constructive criticism without being so rough : )
*I have been in serneity since soon after BC, i dont hop guilds at all. So probably until i quit the game one day.*
Useless history of the rebirth of Serenity... Not that this is important to the application... I just feel like typing something.
I am bad at time lines as well... my rogue was an Officer in Serenity when BC came out.
Serenity, was an alt guild for Requiem for about 7 months after BC came out.
A GLeader mix up (an unintentional coo) which lead to Lilithan/Norris turning the alt guild into a PvP focused guild with the members of Requiem that didn't really care about PvE (Georgepatton and Aznbirdflu)... Now Requiem is the alt guild.
I may be responsible (as well as a few of the other Requiem officers at the time) for the initial PvP birth of Serenity as a PvP guild... nah...
"Our Guild Leader quit the game?" "Erm... no... Can we get him back as the guild leader?... I really miss Norris, Azn, and Geaorge... I really really hate gleadership."
Did you have another name on the server? It looks like the first record of you on Gorg census was on Aug. 07, 2007... I believe that is about the time when name changes became available.

Yes, congrats, you have a wide screen monitor. Like most of us.
You have an Acer AL1915W, 19" widescreen that runs at a native resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels. I recommend that you actually run your game at this resolution.
Why does it matter? I have a massive problem with people that refuse to use their tools to the fullest of their ability. Whether it's actually downloading and installing the raid addon pack or just figuring out how to use their mic in Vent. Let me guess, you can't get Vent to work either? You also like to drive with the parking brake on because you "like the way it feels"?
Running outside of your moniters native resolution forces your computer to take the time to translate for your moniter decreaseing performance.
Try this. as you are set now hit your windows key to minimize while in game and time how long it takes to git back into game.
Then go set wow and your comp resolution to match that of your moniters native resolution and do the same thing. Notice the difference? Now while this is the extreme example of how to see this it gives a general idea.

That statement isn't exactly correct. If anything, running your resolution lower than your native could actually speed things up. Granted, the picture may be distorted and/or blurry (especially on an LCD), but it wont hinder performance.
Of course, it doesn't change the fact that someone spent extra money on a WS monitor, and yet doesn't take advantage of that extra real estate.
"Also, Exanimus, you're not running WoW at your monitor's native resolution. Go into video settings and play with the resolutions until your circles are circles and your squares are squares."
Nah i prefer it like that.
i have a widescreen monitor and jus play in 1280x1024 and i guess if just makes everything shorter and fatter.
Makes Nelfs look buff instead of little bean poles.
I also have a new car that I put leaded gasoline into, because I like leaded gasoline. And I also don't put oil in this car because I like the way the engine sounds with no oil.
Also, Exanimus, you're not running WoW at your monitor's native resolution. Go into video settings and play with the resolutions until your circles are circles and your squares are squares.

Plus hes Canadian, we need more Canadians=). as for 10man raids u can check the raid calender, I try to get kara runs goin mondays 4pm-8pm server.
Thus far you appear to be passing the 2nd test - the "Shihli hasn't scared me off" test, lol.
You seem to have a good attitude and you're looking for a balance between buddies and good times in guild, as well as raiding opportunities. For the most part we can provide that but there are zero guarantees at any raid spots at any stage of the way. The MH/BT/SWP raids are pretty much filled up, the periodic SSC/TK raids typically have a waiting list of 40+ people for 25 spots, the weekly-ish Gruul/Mag raids have a very long line of people wanting to get in. The Karazhan/ZA raids are much easier to come across though, so your luck would likely be better with those.
absolutely, just keep and eye on our calendar. The more exposure you give yourself on the site and our 10 mans the better. We also run a weekly Gruul/Mag (this is an alt run, so alts roll on gear against mains with the exception of the DST...but that's a whole nother story...lol)
