Dufe,

I know the grid addon has been praised by many, but I really really like Decursive for this fight.  It gives you a count-up number on the person cursed, so you know exactly how long someone has had a curse ticking on them.  I will mention that it also avoids cursing too soon (which wastes mana and lowers dps) is a bad idea.  Try and get into a spell/decurse rotation (at least till the boss is about at 25% HP).  For arcane, that usually means doing 3-4 ABs before you decurse.

I think I had a spriest for this, but I do distinctly remember not evocating.  I will try to up my dps for this fight but there is a lot of time when you just plain can't cast spells so that will prove to be a challenge.

Also, a little trick I've learned.  We generally try to keep the curses limited to being "down below".  When someone brings a curse up top, you can actually make it disappear.  Just keep decursing until YOU get the curse, and then ice block out of it.

Lastly, if you happen to either miss your portal or be the fourth group that gets ported down, you'll likely have a lot of arcane buffets on you and will be taking a lot of damage.  I must have died three times because I took some form of other damage too close to dmg from the arcane buffet.  If you find yourself with perhaps 10 or more arcane buffet stacks, ice block out of it.

K - I've watched a couple videos and read a couple of strats.  I ahve two questions:

1. How long are we waiting on decurses?  I haven't seen any actual recommendations in what I've seen.

2. Is this a bad fight for arcane?  Admittedly I am 100% gemmed/enchanted for arcane, which would cause me to suffer quite a bit as frost/fire, but I'm willing to go fire if the other mages tell me it's better for this fight.
