Reducing Stupidity

Honestly, I only pay attention to the wall of green text that spews on my console about 20% of the time. Part of the reason for this is the level of stupid it contains. So, in the interest of reducing a bit of the stupid, here are some rules for trying to be funny.
#1) Be original. If I see one more "That's what she said." when someone is trying to be funny I'm going to send a million volts through your computer chair. Trust me, I'll find a way. Instead, come up with a clever and original way to say the same thing. "Who's got two thumbs and Keisjaa's mom to stick them in? <-- this guy." is getting on the right track. But with a little thought (yes, the hard part) you can do even better. "If you notice Allikat's pussy getting looser, sorry Shihli, that's my bad." would not only leave some people incapacitated in laughter, it would be remembered too.
#2) Use implication. Don't just call someone a whore, imply it. Implication causes people to use their imaginations and sometimes they imagine even worse than what you intended. "You know why people follow Jas all the time, right? They're hoping for a freebie." is a reasonable example.
#3) Diction. You don't get as much respect for your attempt at humor if your spelling is horrendous and you're using shorthand for everything. It makes you look like a hack and it isn't quotable. "UR all my beetches cuz I pwnd al ur moms." just makes people want to hurt you.
I think 3 rules is enough for now. Don't want to cause any brain hemorrages.

My favorite green text ever is when Keisjaa, Delirium, Mav and Ensidious (R.I.P.) aren't raiding, are bored or have been recently ganked by the opposing faction. I have more screenshots of green text in this stupid game than anything else.

Epatrick — Wed, 06/04/2008 - 00:37Laughter is priceless, w/e makes people laugh in guild is fine with me. Poop is pretty much my go to for emotes in raid to lighten people's moods BECAUSE it's the lowest denominator that you laughed at when you were four and still do.
I only think people are stupid when they are trying to be serious and mangle the english language, fail at logic/reason or deliberately make my guild chat uncomfortable with a call out or some other such bullshit. Or you know, say something really really bad, like Antiquite is a good shadow priest.
Implying that you've slept with someone's gf/bf/loveroftheday/wowbff really isn't serious unless you fear for the virtue of that person by being skewered on an e-penis or engulfed in a wow-vagina....I wonder if I could make an emote out of that involving Poop and Garreth's Mom...hmmm...
My $.02 on comedy : only do it if it comes naturally, otherwise leave it to those that are impish goofballs of wit and humor :) if you have to explain/repeat/wait in awkward silence for your joke to be received, you're doing it wrong and people are whispering to each other about how they wish you'd put the joke book down.

Although, my idea of funny and your idea of funny are way off. This post pretty much tells me that if we don't share the same sense of humor, then mine is "stupid". I've found that you can't teach someone to be funny, it's impossible. The harder some people try, the less funny they are! I do agree that most shit said in vent isn't very funny at all, but that's just my opinion.
Take for example, my sense of humor makes little to no sense most of the time. I don't know why my fingers type some of the things they do, it just happens... and I end up laughing my ass off the whole time while typing it.
Now, I may be the one with mud all over my face if this entire post is an attempt at humor. Wouldn't that be funny?
