Speaking from experience -

DON'T EVER WAIT FOR A COMPANY TO CALL YOU.

The biggest thing you can do to get a job (and coincidentally, a guild invite) is to BE PERSISTENT.  Get your resume in, send an email, give a call to the recruiter and tell them "I want to work FOR YOU."

If you tell the interviewer that you're just looking for any job, they view it as that you don't really want to work for them, and as such your chances of getting hired get much more slim.

In short, throwing an application on our site and expecting us to find you is a teency bit short-sighted.  Stick around, our application takes a long time because we've been burned by people in the past who do this:

"Hey guys I really want to join your guild.  I don't care when I get to raid.  Oh, thanks for inviting me!  Are there raid spots open this week?  No?  Well that sucks I'm sick of waiting see you guys later good luck /gquit"

You want into our guild....but you want us to do all the work for you...and in 2 days? Seriously?? There's so much you could elaborate on from my questions, from Garreth's, from Amenn's.

Did you read any of the other apps? Did you see the effort they put into letting people get know them? Did you see there are still open apps hoping for a spot after 3 months?

Willing to respec for the raid is always a winning quality, however you need to be aware that if you get recruited as a resto-shaman you will not have an opportunity to respec later. Sure if the stars align just right and we have an over abundance of resto shamans it might happen, but that's slightly less likely than the earth crashing into the sun. Resto shaman is bar none the most effective healing class in the game right now, if you sign up to heal you're going to have to keep doing that from here to WotLK. Do you like healing? Do you have any experience healing in a raid? Do you want to be a raid healer?

Assuming the answer to all of those is yes, tell me, what do you know about healing in general, and shaman healing in specific? How do you maximize your value as a shaman healer? What would your resto spec be (link a specific build)? Have you read the EJ resto shaman thread? Are you familar with Grid? I see you're rocking the default UI and default key bindings. Do you think that gives you enough hot keys? Do you move with the keyboard or the mouse? Are you confident in your ability to move and use instant abilities at the same time?
