I have now ran 3 kara's with Torvo and gang in Kara1.  Last weekend I stepped up and was willing to run it if no one else would so that it wouldnt get cancelled with torvo heading to wsu for homecoming weekend.  In the end Striffington ran it which was good as I am still new to the raid runs.  I am in almost all epics now after finally getting a good weapon earlier this week.  I am just wondering if I am even being considered for this guild.  Any feedback as to what I need to do still would be greatly appreciated.

I finally made 70!  I have started running lvl 70 instances with people when I can find one to run.  I would love to run Kara once I am geared well enough.  I am still geared for tanking and will continue to put together a resto set of gear as well.  I will not be able to run the sunday kara's either of the next two weekends as I will be out of town but after the 7th I will be done traveling and back to being a home body! If anyone needs help with any quests or instances please feel free to ask.  If I have time I will always help!

Just wanted to update everyone.  I am now lvl 68!  I just picked up my flying form.  I have been running all the instances in my level as a tank and working on marking.  I know I will probably have to respec to resto once I hit 70 in order to get into any of the raids if and when I get the opportunity but seeing as I play everyday with healanoid we need a tank more than a healer right now. 

I try and say hi to every DF person I see and ask if they need help with anything.   If you are in need of help just ask.  If I have time I will always help.  I have also been trying to be a part of the website community and I enjoy it so far.  I hope to be in this guild partially because of the great community feel and atmosphere you all have for such a big guild.  Being from Washington and seeing the get togethers in portland and seattle just ram home how cool this game truly is.  You can build relationships through WOW.  You can also gain friendships that can have a profound impact in your real life as well.  That is a big part of why I want to be in this guild.

I like that your active on the site, and you are not yet 70, nor in the guild! You might give your buddy Healanoid a nudge and give him a little lesson about how to get his name out there. ;)

You sir have an immediate opening in a Saturday afternoon Kara even if its the day you ding 70. (if we do ZA that week...well u gotta wait...lol)

Keep up the good work! Don't be afraid to /who DF and send some pst's for groups! A lot of us have alts, some mains of your level!

Blue, I see you post on threads from time to time...so I know your alive out there....I'm gonna post this a little late, since I wrote it after your application was posted...lots of valid info there:

Thank you for your application to Downfall. We are not currently recruiting for our 25 man MH/BT/SW raids. This does not mean that your application is or will be rejected. What it does mean, is that you will now be faced with a few tasks.

Downfall is a community first and foremost and a successful raiding guild second. First you need to ask yourself what it is you want from Downfall. If it's a spot in end game raid, and nothing more...then you may want to seek entry into another one of the many guilds on Gorgonnash.

If you desire a strong sense of community then get ready to work for it! When we talk about community, we aren't talking about the type of community that jumps when you say OMGRUNMYALTTHRUVC!!!! We're talking about a group for people who love this game we pour our lives into, people who will run things with you when they have time, people who may have their own special way of contributing to the community.

Now that you have applied (and if my wall of text didn't lose u 2 paragraphs ago), don't just sit there and hope someone will come hunt you down and say "HERE'S YOUR INVITE!!" because that simply will not happen. Those who gain entry into Downfall work for it. Members have waited upwards of 3 months or more to be part of our community. How do you ensure that you have every option to be the next addition?

Here's an idea:

• Stay active on this thread, it's your application. You will receive feedback and recommendations. Don't take anything personal, if you can't take constructive criticism, you will never make it in guild chat. Applications are open to the entire community, not just officers, so if you were a douche to a member in the past, be ready for it to bite you in the ass.
• If given goals to meet, make them.
• Sign up for events you can make and which you are geared for. No need to sign up for MH/BT/SW, as those aren't testing grounds for new members. Focus on the Sunday Gruul/Mag run by yours truly or the Saturday SSC/TK run by Grasen.
• If you sign up...show up. No one likes an app who signs up for all raids and never shows. Be sure to send a tell to the leader to let him/her know you're online and waiting.
• Download the raid pack. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT show up to a Gruul/Mag or SSC/TK without our required add ons. If you do not understand what you are looking at, then research it. If you still don't understand, post you're question and someone will help you. (If you think only bad players use mods, we can say our goodbyes right now)
• Do everything you can to get your name out there, and show why you should be part of our community. Run 5 mans, Run 10 mans, participate in forum discussions.

If and when you are accepted into Downfall, you are strictly on a trial basis. If we invite you because you convinced us you were the worlds greatest healer/tank/random dps class, and you looooooooooove to run 5 mans...but you never run a thing, you never sign up for fun runs, and you burn out and don't sign on for 1+ months, don't be surprised if you find yourself guildless on log in one day.

It's very simple, don't say what we want to hear just to get in, because it will haunt you in the end. Be honest, and we will be fair.
