UI Help
Nellem1 — Mon, 06/30/2008 - 12:26
ok, so i downloaded some mods for my new UI. i need some help. as you can see, there are some things in the way in the middle of the screen. you can see the 3D model to the left of the center of the screen: i want to get rid of that. not sure if that's Xperl or not, but i cant figure it out. Also, if you look closely, you can see a single frame used for easy targeting (my guess) just to the right of the very middle of the screen. I want to get rid of that also. It's unmoveable and therefore, not a good thing for me.
Any help is appreciated. TY!

Nellem1 — Mon, 06/30/2008 - 15:52i agree that DLing mods that im not fully aware of their use is not a good idea. I plan to play with what i have, find out what i like and use, then delete everything else.

Keisjaa — Mon, 06/30/2008 - 14:49If you need help with it, I use zuxana model citizen for my portraits on my warrior(Current versions are nice, older versions are a bit of a PitA to configure) the command line for it is /zmc config
it's far more useful for people who use pitbull/ag unitframes as the portraits on them are a fixed scale(set up pitbull with all the bars & use ZMC set to whatever size you need)
it only does model portraits so if you don't need it you can just delete it
Honestly, delete all your
garreth — Mon, 06/30/2008 - 14:26Honestly, delete all your addons and just pull them down from the WoW Ace Updater: http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WowAceUpdater
Don't go with compilations because you inevitably wind up with a bunch of shit you don't use that just hog up resources. Just download what you need from the WAU, configure them and use them.
The fact that you have addons that you don't know what they do is a really bad sign. You shouldn't have them installed if you didn't directly download them yourself for the express purpose of the functionality they provide.

A 3d toon like that is (usually) a full standalone addon that you would have had to download by name. Unless you got this from a compilation. Don't do compilations.
Do what I do: Disable all your mods and start enabling them one by one. Enable Fubar first and go from there.
