Hey everyone, I'm sorry I've been MIA for the past few weeks only popping in my head here and there. On top of moving, internet issues and getting sick just to add insult to injury, I have been spending time living with my dad for the past week who conveniently doesn't have internet. College is starting soon so I have been busy setting up appointments with advisers, getting rooming sorted out (they threw me in a dorm with a bunch of English majors when my major will be engineering so I wanted to switch to a dorm with more people that have my same interests.) and registering for classes. Then on top of that I have been working my ass off trying to get a little more money to pay for all of it. Oh and I have been helping finish my uncle's basement building walls, throwing up drywall, texturing, laying in carpet and soon to be installing a bar.
When classes start on August 25th I will most likely be quilting wow cold turkey to focus on classes. I wish I could say I will be available for every raid until then, hell I want to be available, but if things keep going the way they are It looks as if I will be extremely busy. On second thought I may quit more like cool turkey because I have a feeling I will be poking my head in every now and again to see how everyone is doing, I don't think I could not do that.
My time in Downfall has been amazing, all of my best moments of raiding and wow in general have manifested from the time I have spent here in Downfall. I think of you guys as a second family I have never met. Downfall really is a community first and a raiding guild second. I am glad to see that you are continuing to down bosses and progress toward Kil'Jaden. I wish I could stay with you guys to see his body hit the floor like a sack of potatoes, to feel that rush of downing the last endgame raid boss for the first time once more. Like the first time we downed Lady Vashj, I think the entire block heard me yell, I know I woke up my mom and sister. I'm going to miss that. Hopefully I will be on to make a few more raids before Aug 25th, before I bid you all adieux.
And so it begins... my journey into life living more-or-less on my own. Finally. It will feel good to get out of my parents house.

And Mag, they are going to give Sphere O' Healing have a chance to implode on the caster killing him instantly and I will inevitably pass you on healing! MUAHAHA.
However I have no idea if I will return at all because of an opportunity I have heard about at CU. Apparently Lockheed Martin and/or Ball Aerospace (can't remember which) have a facility at CU. They select the top of the class aerospace engineering undergrads in their junior or senior years and pay for the rest of their education, including grad school. After they recieve their masters they hire them with a 6 digit starting salary. I am defiantly going to try for this so I am going to have to focus 110% on my studies. Worst case scenario, I don't make it in but graduate near the top of my class and get a great job anyway so its a win-win situation and defiantly worth a shot :) Most of all, I think I can do it! I have been fascinated with planes, space and flight since I was 4 years old, I could tell you what the Bernoulli's principle was by the time I was 5. my favorite toys were LEGOS (FTW) and K'NEX (also FTW) so I loved building stuff and I always built planes whenever I could. Granted my favorite thing to do with those planes was to drop them off the 2nd story overhang and watch them explode, but I was little, what can I say. All in all, love of planes + the love to build things. I've wanted to be an Aerospace Engineer since before I knew what that was. I defiantly have the motivation, that's my main reason for quitting video games as a whole. The less distractions the better.
