Adwarf is mostly correct, raiding for me has always been about being with a skilled group of people, not about gear. I do need a few things from T5 though. Also, I completely understand that raid groups need to be balanced, and that cores will have priority on gear. As previously mentioned, raiding is not about gear for me. I didn't mean to suggest that I demand invites too all tier 5 content without exception, rather that three months without any raids at all would be not at all to my liking.
In terms of my UI, I know it's stock. I've tried a few bar mods, and didn't really like them. If it's absolutely necessary I can set up a custom UI, but as DPS it's never struck me as particularly helpful.
Please, please, please, please don't tell me you're a "clicker".

Just here give my various thoughts on the app. I dunno I am prolly being harsh today however your app makes 3/3 and hence why i have responded to all 3 in the same manner.
The big thing that stood out to me was your response to the question
"Would it be a problem if you had to wait 3 weeks or 3 months to get into raid?:
I don't expect to get into every single raid, nor to be accepted immediately. However, I do think that three months – especially with the upcoming expansion – is too long to wait to get into any raids at all. I have no goals of occupying core raiding positions in BT or Sunwell, but certainly expect to be brought to T5 level raids within a reasonable period of time."
Although our seemingly random T5 raids are easier to get into usually than our BT/Sunwell raids (although you are a shadowpriest nom nom nom), there is no set group of people everyweek that attend (unless you sign up everyweek). That being said, the raid group still has to be balanced, and I believe (as this was the case when it first started) that invite priorities after tanks and healers are given to main raiders with legitiment upgrades in the instance itself. On top of that, these are call runs so said main raiders have first priority on loot they called or on loot that no one called that drop that is an upgrade for their current main raid job.
I look forward to reading your responses :D

He doesn't need gear from T5 content, I'm sure he'll get in I've seen people bring their sub-par Spriest alts. So it would be more for the experience of the content with a competent group of players.

Wow...lots of replies! Sorry so late with my staple, but hell I'm on vacation so I'm lazy lazy lazy this week!!
Thank you for your application to Downfall. We are doing minimal recruiting for our 25 man MH/BT/SW raids. This does not mean that your application is or will be rejected. What it does mean, is that you will now be faced with a few tasks.
Downfall is a community first and foremost and a successful raiding guild second. First you need to ask yourself what it is you want from Downfall. If it's a spot in end game raid, and nothing more...then you may want to seek entry into another one of the many guilds on Gorgonnash.
If you desire a strong sense of community then get ready to work for it! When we talk about community, we aren't talking about the type of community that jumps when you say OMGRUNMYALTTHRUVC!!!! We're talking about a group for people who love this game we pour our lives into, people who will run things with you when they have time, people who may have their own special way of contributing to the community.
Now that you have applied (and if my wall of text didn't lose u 2 paragraphs ago), don't just sit there and hope someone will come hunt you down and say "HERE'S YOUR INVITE!!" because that simply will not happen. Those who gain entry into Downfall work for it. Members have waited upwards of 3 months or more to be part of our community. How do you ensure that you have every option to be the next addition?
Here's an idea:
Stay active on this thread, it's your application. You will receive feedback and recommendations. Don't take anything personal, if you can't take constructive criticism, you will never make it in guild chat. Applications are open to the entire community, not just officers, so if you were a douche to a member in the past, be ready for it to bite you in the ass.
If given goals to meet, make them.
Sign up for events you can make and which you are geared for. No need to sign up for MH/BT/SW, as those aren't testing grounds for new members. Focus on the Sunday Gruul/Mag run by yours truly or the Saturday SSC/TK run by Grasen.
If you sign up...show up. No one likes an app who signs up for all raids and never shows. Be sure to send a tell to the raid leader so he/she knows you are available and ready to rock.
Download the raid pack. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT show up to a Gruul/Mag or SSC/TK without our required add ons. If you do not understand what you are looking at, then research it. If you still don't understand, post you're question and someone will help you. (If you think only bad players use mods, we can say our goodbyes right now)
Do everything you can to get your name out there, and show why you should be part of our community. Run 5 mans, Run 10 mans, participate in forum discussions.
If and when you are accepted into Downfall, you are strictly on a trial basis. If we invite you because you convinced us you were the worlds greatest healer/tank/random dps class, and you looooooooooove to run 5 mans...but you never run a thing, you never sign up for fun runs, and you burn out and don't sign on for 1+ months, don't be surprised if you find yourself guildless on log in one day.
It's very simple, don't say what we want to hear just to get in, because it will haunt you in the end. Be honest, and we will be fair.
hi apriestess!!! adwarf joined our guild recently and i asked him if he was apriestess and he said no...i knew you when we were both in Damage inc with misty and acert. you might know me as everstar or ancientpanda =p look forward to seein ya around a bit more!
Priest, like atar said, be online tonight. We need guildies we can count on to show up. I know your weekdays are a little sketchy, but we need people who will SHOW UP. Are you that guy?

Firstly, thanks for the responses. Atar, I've been working on all those things :). I should be able to be on tonight, as it's still the summer holidays up here, but once school begins it gets ickier. And I'll certainly read up on the strats.
BTW...Get soulfrost on your weapon. You won't replace it for a long time, and I hate cheap raiders!!! Plus, Sub to cloak, and get the 35 spell damage leg enchant. Ten spell damage is is huge for a shadow priest. Also, looks like your enchanting is 375 yet...get it done and have 24 more spell damage!!!
I like this app. Sign up for LF1M raids. There may be a good chance you could get some BT action. That means....know all BT boss strats and be prepared of you get a raid invite.
LF1M has cleared most of BT without a shadow priest. We are in dire need of one. Bring a good attitude and skill and you might find yourself a kick ass guild.
I like this app and we need shadow priests. We actually only have TWO consistent shadow priests in guild and they are both in Hamfist. LF1M has been dying for one for months now. But that would require being available Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 6pm until 9pm.
Sign up for the Gruul/Mag/TK runs this weekend.

Could you be a little more specific? The best I can do with a question like that is either a) spew general priestly knowledge or b) refer you to the elitist jerks forums.
I think Apriestess will contribute quite a bit becuase in Wrath he will have he said he would spec his priest Holy. Since downfall is at a lack of healers and has a high healer turn over rate, I feel it would be nothing but advantagous to have a few more around. As for his Mage he plans to level that character in Wrath. I brought Apriestess to a Downfall Kz and it went fine. I suggest as I suggest with everyone, sign up for stuff so people get to know you.
Apriestess is also one of the best theorycrafters I know, he essentially taught me how to play my priest effectively in end game. I also have him heal while I raid when he's over at my house sometimes. I've done this in SSC/Kz only though. But it was because I wanted ice cream <_<
