Raid Zone:
Karazhan
I'm out of town this weekend, but there is still interest in a !!1 Kara so I'm posting the event. I'll try to help monitor/balance signups up through Friday when I leave, and will find someone to organize the actual running of the raid prior to then.
!!1 has only a few basic rules, and they may evolve as the raid becomes more regular.
- Don't be a dick
- Loot goes to main spec first, offspec second
- I don't care if you're a main or an alt, a regular or a guest to the raid. If you come, you'll get to roll
Invites going out starting at 10:30, ideally to start promptly at 11.
SIGNUPS:
- Primarily will be first posted, first in. The last few slots are usually allocated more selectively to ensure proper group makeup for success.
- When you sign up, please post which toon you want to bring.
- If you don't mind bringing an alternate toon should the raid need it for better composition, mention that as well. I will do my best to accomodate first preference, but if you sign up with your DPS druid and we already have 4 of those it helps to know if you have an alt.

Our best bet is to still find us two very good healers like torvo said and using him as off heals. There is a nice resto staff drop in there which would help him so if it drops (crossing fingers) then we maty be fine. We are also in need of a MT. I am hoping this fills today I should know more about my availability by 2 or 3 this afternoon.

I'm going to respec Holy tonight just to find out what my +heal is as a 'just in case' (yeah, I'm gonna waste 100g just in case.....) Either way I'll be bringing my healing gear and I'll buy up a few Mana pots just in case I need to fall back on healing for some of the more complicated fights.

However, with three Feral Druids and a Boomkin we're relatively low on AOE for Nightbane. Despite the fact that I wouldn't mind picking up the [Pantaloons of Repentance] for my Holy Set, I think it's best that with this group we skip Nightbane until we've dropped Prince.
Would it be possible to have one of our Feral/Boomkin's go Resto and bring in Kerilyn's Hunter? That would give us at least a little CC, not to mention Misdirect to make the Prince pull a little easier.
Suggestions?

Torvo — Thu, 09/25/2008 - 22:05K, I might not get a chance to check this again after tonight. Here's what I'd recommend:
Someone who is on at 10:30 on Saturday start the invites. Be the de facto leader; promote your main tank to assistant and let him/her mark targets.
You should all know the strats by now.
You need a MT and 2 healers. If the healers are less than ~3400 healing between them (no more split than 1900/1500), have Strife come in healer spec/gear. If they're both geared, have him come DPS but bring his resto gear for the tougher fights. I'd recommend Pally tank and either 2 resto shammies or a resto shammy and a resto pally. You're going to want those totems/buffs/auras.
I'd be worried (as usual) about CC with 4 druids. Your buffs don't stack and you can't CC much of anything. Having 4 druids has its advantages - aka 4 battle rez - (and you've all proven yourselves to be fully capable of handling this raid), but if at all possible don't bring a resto druid or a feral main tank. The benefits you'll get out of bringing other classes will be much, MUCH higher.
Good luck on Saturday! I can't wait to hear how you've done. If you don't make it all the way through the instance and need an extra healer for the final bosses on Sunday or Monday night, let me know.
