My Shaman 3.0 Specs

3.0 is soon approaching and the changes may happen but for now my 3.0 resto raid spec is looking like such (mind you this is w/o playing beta and purely from reading/wanting to try out cool new shit). There are a couple of points I may toss around...and refreshing water shield every 10 sec may drive me fucking batty but with the lack of crit I have who knows...
I am also planning on leveling enhance so I can zoom through it. I went 1-70 as hance and really like the playstyle not to mention the amount of burst as well as lack of mana issues. I am definitely looking for feedback on this one but again I am doing this to try out new ablities as well. This is a leveling spec, not a raid spec.
But as far as enhance raid specs go if I get the chance come 3.0. This is looking good to me.. Feel free to critique here. I have done less research on hance but it seems like with Maelstrom weapon, shocks and lava lash the rotation could get really bunched up if you take imp stormstrike...

Torvo — Thu, 10/02/2008 - 12:27Just curious... How much solo target healing do you actually do vs. spamming chain heals? Agree 98% with your resto spec, but I would think you gain more from taking a point out of Tidal Waves and sticking it into Blessing of the Eternals to cap that.
2% crit and 40 to 80% increase to earthliving vs. 80 to 100% increase on activating the LHW/HW bonus. Unless you alternate CH/HW 1:1, you'll pretty much always have the bonus up anyway.... I'd think there's a lot more value in that 2nd point to Blessing.

Enixa — Thu, 10/02/2008 - 10:57As far as raiding. Enh won't be good again until level 74 (Lava Burst). As for leveling, mana issues will be just as it was getting to 70 and burst will be almost the same with some smaller numbers.
WF your MH and Flametongue your OH and keep Lava LAsh on CD at all times while fighting, as well as your totems. Leveling I wasn't a big fan of totems due to mana however with Shammy Rage, use em all.

Elemental Tree:
Further decreases any mana troubles with Spells. Call of Flame is good because at level 74 Lava Burst hits, Maelstrom stacked to 5 (Assuming you crit enough) and it's an Instant cast.
Enhancement Tree:
This tree is set to maximize personal Dmg. 5/5 Ancestral Knowledge as Mental Dexeterity Increases your Attack power by your Intel. Imp Stormstrike so that the CD is less and can keep you Active. Mental Quickness to increase Spell Dmg for Lava Burst and Shocks.
Keep in Mind. Shock Rotation will almost be the same. Lava Lash gets put in as well as the New SS. Enhancement will require a lot more focus to do more dmg but can provide high dps once Lava Burst is attained. Any other Questions lemme know :D
