I've got a 7pm hockey game, so here's a quick guide for whichever warlock tanks the twin. Someone make sure they read this!
Prep:
- Stam gear is most important here. Bring pvp gear and stam trinkets. FR doesn't seem to do anything.
- Use Demon Armor, not Fel Armor. You take huge amts of damage and you need the extra 20% from heals.
- Use stam food.
The pull:
- There's a V shape in the floor pattern about 10 feet from the ramp bottom. Stand at the bottom of the V.
- Pull using Searing Pain. Shadow bolts take too long to fly and don't generate as much agro.
- IMMEDIATELY after casting Searing Pain, jump over the wall.
Tanking:
- Watch the enemy cast bar. You want to be moving as soon as she finishes casting "Blaze". You only need to take 2 steps, then start casting spells again. DON'T wait for your own spell cast to complete, move.
- Keep CoD and one or two other dots up. Other than that, just spam Searing Pain.
- Try to move in a oval shape around that side of the floor. You don't have much time between Blaze casts, so it tends to be move, cast, move, cast, move cast. I try to get the dots up while I'm moving.
2nd phase tanking:
- Move back and forth opposite the raid. Keep an eye on your flame debuffs. If they get too large (like around 8 or 9) you need to edge in close to the raid to get the shadow debuff.
I'll be there. Do they all start at 8pm now? I'm liking it very much if they do...way way easier to get time w/ the family in before gaming if that is the case.
