poisondonut — Thu, 11/06/2008 - 20:23I was logged on since 4 O'Clock server time today waiting for Ataraxia or another of the DF members mentioned to logon so I could try to join for Ataraxia's run. Unfortunately it turns out Ataraxia organized the raid on an alternate that I didn't know about. :( I guess this was one of the last few times you guys could have seen me in a raid setting now that WoTLK is so close. Hope it doesn't hinder my chances at joining guild. I'm really trying here, and I hope you see that.

We ran an AQ40 last night that we had more than enough room for you in ;) Don't be afraid to sign up for those events (though Sunwell tends to have very set attendance) and catch me, Shihli, Katibug, Dufe, Keisjaa, Nuitarin, Ataraxia, etc in game.
So is the jury out yet on me?

Hit the tracker link to the upper right of the site, find those events and reply there. Catch those people in game and see if you can hop in for something tonight.

I havent check out Elitist Jerks since the patch but I'll get on there and see what numbers I come up with. You may end up being right about the increased pyro crit chance, and I can see how it could end up being higher dps. I'll get back to you.

Dufe — Wed, 10/29/2008 - 21:19All the math I've found on Elitist Jerks and elsewhere suggests that World in Flames ends up being an overall larger dps increase than Incineration. Generally about twice as big, but it varies slightly depending on stats.

More scorch crits =more pyro instant casts. Thanks for responding to my app. When i specced i clicked blastwave by total accident when i meant to put it in increasing crit chance (the talent to the left of it).
Gear/Talents generally look
Dufe — Wed, 10/29/2008 - 20:31Gear/Talents generally look good. My only talent question would be Blastwave. In a raid, the knockback on Blastwave generally makes it a bad choice versus Dragon's Breath for AOE. Or if you're 100% focused on single target dps, putting that point into World on Flames would be better to get Pyro crit up on hot streak procs.
