I have three suggestions.

1) Find more people in-guild that are interested in raiding and get them on the "fill in" list. Yeah, it sucks, but it also means we get to raid every night, and they get essentially free gear as a result.

2) Have people tell the raid officers when they will miss a raid, so we know when to not expect them and fill the spot quicker.

3) Have people who KNOW they will be missing a specific day find a replacement for themselves.

#2 and #3 both relate to #1.

Number 1, which is really the big one, I don't know how that could be resolved. Garreth spent how long trying to find a ranged dps for Malygos last night? I mean, he had to spam in green chat more than once. There have been previous nights where we had to look, and look, and look in guild for people to come, not to do an achievement, but just to get it done. And, this isn't 100% Foresight's fault, but him being dead last on the meters for dps is in large part due to his gearing compared to the rest of us.

I'm sure some of it is due to lack of interest in raiding, there will always be people who only want to do 5mans or PvP. But, if some of it is due to people not being geared enough, should we try and fit those people in on other nights? I'm sure last monday will not be the last night KB has to pass up on getting an achievement, or getting better loot, because there were no qualified guildies on.

Undocumented: Malygos & You Don't Have An Eternity

You Don't Have An Eternity and Heroic: You Don't Have An Eternity were changed in 3.0.8 to read "6 minutes or less" rather than "5 minutes or less." From the outside, this seems to be a gimping of the achievement. However, there's also been a change to the sparks that spawn during the Malygos encounter. They now despawn after a set duration, so you can no longer hold 3+ sparks in place until the most opportunistic time to kill them and build the stack.
