There's no reason NOT to use them. I don't think I could live without things like Grid, Omen, PallyPower, oRA, and DBM/BigWigs.

Raid Experience:

With this Pally, my Pre-BC raiding experience was limited to healing MC. In BC, I was Ret and did everything up to Mother in BT. So far in Wrath, I've seen the inside of everything except EoE.

Unfortunately I'm not nice enough to give out veteran preference points. Actually the title of your App is what convinced me to read it.

Now a few comments to ask.
Occasionally a raid might need something other than a tank to fill in for a given night when something is missing. So my question for you is, how are you alt gearsets (although tanks are nummy for all the 5mans we run that our tanks are bored of).

Secondly, for main tanking why do you not put any points into SotP. It effects SoV and JoV which gives your dps even more area for extra dps from a higher threat output.

In conclusion, not all our ret paladins in guild have been ret since WotLK. I've been ret since Pre-BC (Just had to say this for my epeen).

Look me up this weekend on Dragonsword, I can almost always find a use for a tank :D

1st MEF? I'll be sure to send whispers, it's quite rare for me to find fellow Marines. My alt gear sets, quite honestly, need work. I've actually begun farming Ret peices as that was my most-geared set, but it's quite hard to get a PuG to pass loot on your off-set when they need it on a main set, and my luck with rolls makes me think I should never play craps. True, I could just respec Ret and run them, and that's actually my intention later tonight.
As for Seals of the Pure, I haven't really encountered a Threat issue yet. Most of that is probably due to the fact that I haven't done things like EoE or the threat-intensive fights, and I've been relegated to groups of sub-par players. That, and I'm quick-as-a-wink with HofSalv. When faced with that problem, I'd definitely respec to rectify.
Will whisper, and follow A and B. I've /joined dfrecruit today as well. :)

I mean seriously, how MANY plate wearers are DPS right now? Fury Warriors, DKs, Ret pallys.

I've gotten a total of two off-spec dps drops since I started running 80s / Heroics.
