I like addons; they are very useful. The class addons and raid addons are especially helpful.

Raid Experience:

I have completed all 5mans except Halls of Lightning. For raids, I've only finished Karazan, Naxxramas,and Obsidian Sanctum. I've downed the military and construct wards in only in heroic naxx, but completed heroic OS. About waiting, there are way more than 25 ppl on my server, so I not surprised that I can't always be the first 25.

I am a college student, and I am in my junior year. I am a finance/real estate double major. So, I am generally an organized person who loves to plan for the future. I call myself a gamer. I have been playing video games since I was 2, and I plan to continue to play until I'm 200.

On the topic of Trap Dancing.

In regard to trap dancing, as has been mentioned earlier, it isn't as dire to understand it anymore. Before the latest patch, it was a significant DPS increase to force LnL procs every 24 sec (resourcefulness CD bonus). This utilized Immolation Trap, Raptor Strike, and a step back from the boss to get back to range. Since the patch, there has been placed a 30sec internal CD on LnL. To compensate, the rate of LnL proc from Serpent Sting was increased to a number greater than 2ppm. With a much higher proc rate, trap dancing was not needed to achieve a significant gain. However, for some unknown reason, Frost trap eludes the 30sec internal CD, and can be used to CHAIN LnL procs. Got a proc from a sting? Frost trap will proc another when you finish. Problem, is that there are so many fights that require you to be a significant range from your target, that it isn't really plausible outside of a few fights (Gluth's Zombie Chows, Thaddius, Possibly Malygos, and Patchwerk if you feel dangerous).

Overall, trap dancing is NOT huge anymore, so long as you make sure Serpent Sting is always refreshed when it needs to be. But if circumstance allows you to do it, it will be a slight increase in your overall dps.

I have a few questions. First of all, which hunter spec is your favorite and why? I know you are survival now, but the fad thing is to do survival and I want to know which spec you have the most fun, or have had the most fun with in the past or in pvp.

Next thing to look at is your gear. I notice that you are over 8% to hit, but with a Draenei in your group, you would be at 9%. On the Alliance side you are almost always going to have a Draenei in your group, so you could stand to lose ~32 hit rating from your gear. I'm thinking specifically about your head and belt gems. Those COULD be agility instead, and give you more bang for your buck. You should have the Ebon Blade head enchant, since you don't need that hit rating. No enchant on your boots? It should have a 16 agility enchant on them. I can understand the 85 AP on your stat stick, since you probably expect to replace it rather soon. Shoulder, only 26 AP? Get honored with Sons of Hodir (its not hard to get honored these days) and get a much better 30 AP 10 crit! You will get more out of 20 agility on your gloves than 44 AP. No cloak enchant. You should also trade the 18 stam on chest for +8 or +10 stats. It has been my experience that you should enchant everything you have, with the best enchants available. You never know how long you're going to keep using it.

On to Shot rotations. What shot priority do you use, and how do you handle Lock and Load procs when they happen? How does this change your shot priority? Also, do you trap dance? If so, describe the process and what benefit trap dancing has.

Talent tree. Overall, its not too bad. Like I asked above, do you trap dance? If not, why did you put a point into Trap Mastery? Thats a point that could be placed into a dps talent instead. 3/3 Expose Weakness is alright for now, since your crit isn't very high, but at higher levels 2/3 is plenty to keep it up almost 100% of the time. Also, if you aren't going far enough down the BM tree to get Focused Fire, some of those points in Imp Aspect of the Hawk would probably be better suited in Imp Stings.

My Favorite Spec
When I first started, I love to be marksman. There was just something about not being a slave to my pet that made it fun. Also, in pvp, MM made it easy to pwn mages and locks.

My Gear
I recently obtained the gear you saw me wearing, so I just add whatever enchantments I could get or afford. I added the gems with hit so I could be hit capped. Afterward, I picked up some gear with more hit, so I didn't get the chance to swap out my gems before you saw them.

Shot Rotations
For one target, I use Serpent Sting, Explosive Shot, Multi-Shot, Steady Shot, and then I rinse and repeat. For mobs, I use multi-shot, volley shot, explosive shot, and rinse and repeat. With lock and load, I use explosive shot, multi-shot, explosive shot, explosive shot, steady shot, and multi-shot.

Trap Dance
I've never really been a terminology guy. I know something when I do it or see it, so when you say trap dancing I can only think of the process of kiting a target with frost traps, concussive shot, scatter shot, disengage, and deterrence. Putting a point in trap mastery helps lengthen the time trap is active, so I use another to start the process over. I've found it useful in the Naxx boss battle with Gluth.

Talent Tree
The suspect points you talk about in my talent tree were seriously added while I was completing my app. I've had 3 points in focused aim for awhile, so when I picked up epic gear and added hit gems in them, I was able to put the points elsewhere. I will admit that I wasn't quite sure about where I should put them. Moreover, my current spec is temporary due to the fact that I like to test out different specs to see how effective they can be.

I like players who study, read and really strive to maximize their character and not knowing about trap dancing is huge ATM.

You only have the enchants you 'can afford' - tells me you dont fully understand how to make gold. Not a huge issue as the guild can help with enchants, but again , a player who wants to be the best at what they do would farm the gold to have the best chants/gems.

OTOH,

You do seem like you are trainable, or at least have a desire to learn. We have awesome kick ass hunters here, best in the Alliance maybe the server. If you listen to them, they could help you take your game to a whole new level. As a plus, they are all super nice guys too and really like to help.

We can use more ranged DPS. If you were a rogue or dk, I'd have a 'hit the street attidude'. But you are not. And you seem intellegent as well. Join channel /dfrecruit and listen up for 5 man slots. If you are online, ask in dfrecruit if anyone wants to do a heroic - guildies generally monitor the channel and if you take initive and dont just lurk in that channel, you will get picked up and looked at closer.

DF doesnt usually make snap decisions on adding members. Dont get frustrated and join some other guild if you dont get an invite in a week or two. Show us you want to be a team player and part of us and you stand a chance if you are trainable

First, I would like to thank you for comments. You are right when you say that I should know everything about my hunter. I believe I need to build up a habit of researching new things about my hunter. I normally try to test out new things myself before I even think about research. I will take your advice and research first,so people won't be able to say I'm not up-to-date on hunter information.

Also, I want to add that I am always eager to learn more about my character and different styles of play. I will definitely checkout dfrecruit.

Did a heroic HoS with this

Did a heroic HoS with this fellow last night. This was the run I was talking about where the priest was wearing mostly greens, and our tank barely had more health than me. Being the other DPS, using the classes abilities to the max, we managed to finish the instance with only one wipe. As far as his abilities to raid, I have no idea. But as this players personality, courtesy, and common sense (he spent plenty of time on his app.) I think he could be a good member of Downfall.

In real life, this is the type of friend you want to have. If you ever need help and he can help you, he will. This guy is my best friend and for good reason. For in game, he is a killer hunter that never forgets his wide range of abilities. He will lay a trap down when needed, Md when he has too, and everything else a hunter should do to stay alive. He is always quick to help other people.

He is not one to get mad easily. No short fuse or anything. Although, He doesn't like being blamed for things that really just aren't his fault. He will work on trying to resolve any problem he may have, and always like to hear if there is someway he can play his class better.

I know i haven't been in the guild too long so my comments may not matter as much as the long time members, but if you like me in the guild, then you will like him too. There is a reason he is my best friend.

Oh and LMAO "Also, I will bring some chocolate flavor into the guild."
