Shaman Macros
Nuitarin — Thu, 04/02/2009 - 09:58
These are some of the macros I use on my shaman:
This macro checks if I am in a group and in combat before using heroism. It also prints the message in raid chat for those too busy to see that I did, in fact, just use heroism.
#showtooltip Heroism
/stopmacro [nocombat]
/script local u,m = IsUsableSpell("Heroism") if u and not m and GetNumRaidMembers() > 0 then SendChatMessage(" >>> Heroism! <<<","RAID") end
/cast Heroism
This is a handy macro that will purge a enemy and clense a friendly, its good for saving a button space.
#showtooltip Cleanse Spirit
/cast [harm] Purge; [help] Cleanse Spirit
This is the macro I use to apply my earth sheild. I typically focus the tank when I heal so it checks for my focus target first. Then in order, if the focus doesnt exist or is dead or an enemy, uses my target for ES, if target is unfrendly, uses Target of target, and last if I have no target or focus, it puts ES on myself.
#showtooltip Earth Shield
/cast [target=focus,help, nodead][target=target,help,nodead][target=targettarget,help,nodead][noexists]Earth Shield
Since smart res doesn't (or didn't) work for my druid, I didn't install it my last UI build and I use this macro for resing people.
#showtooltip Ancestral Spirit
/cast Ancestral Spirit()
/script SendChatMessage("Resurrecting","Whisper","Common",UnitName("Target"));
/s Resing %t
I also use this macro for tidal force and LHW.
#showtooltip Lesser Healing Wave
/cast Tidal Force
/cast Lesser Healing Wave()
I use this macro for PvP to interrupt the enemy healer. Since wind shock isnt on the GCD, the stopcasting isn't really needed, but I left it in anyway.
#showtooltip Wind Shock
/stopcasting
/cast [target=focus] Wind Shock(Rank 1)
I use this macro to do a instant big heal if NS is up, otherwise just HW.
#showtooltip Healing Wave
/cast Nature's Swiftness
/cast Healing Wave()
This macro will use stormstrike or start your auto attack if SS is on cooldown.
#showtooltip Stormstrike
/use 13
/use 14
/cast Stormstrike
/startattack [harm]
And last, the most important and complicated macro of all time:
/focus
dont laugh, it saves typing.

Great Work
Derchlon — Fri, 04/03/2009 - 01:05Thanks nuit, I was waiting for some of these with great anticipation. Thanks for putting it up. :)
Living Ice Crystals are
Desteran — Thu, 04/02/2009 - 16:54Living Ice Crystals are awesome. Marco'd mine in with riptide only though for a large instant. Plus I think the 43 mp5 my be handy in Ulduar (not so much now)...some of the fights look a bit longer/intense. I have Tidal Force macro'd in with LHW, HW and Riptide for the synergy with Imp Water Shield.
also
/cast Nature's Swiftness
/cast Tidal Force
/cast Healing Wave
If your Tidal Force is off CD you have a 90% ish chance Instant HW crit (raid buffed). I am also a big fan of NS + TF + Chain Heal for melee on DK wing trash or chained Ice Blocks on KT.
Nuit: you can bind a focus key (mine is Num Pad 0).
Primeight, what does your
Nuitarin — Thu, 04/02/2009 - 14:04Primeight, what does your mouseover macro look like for clense and purge? How useful have you found mouseover macros to be in PvP?
I dont know why I put the Egg
Nuitarin — Thu, 04/02/2009 - 13:46I dont know why I put the Egg in there as a on use trinket. I will edit to fix that macro. I typically dont like to use the macros that have the /use 13 /use 14 in them becuase I like to keep the same macros for when I have a PvP trinket equiped. The only exception that I currently have is a Chain heal macro (which isnt used in PvP).
For the stormstrike macro, I havent ever used that since I hit 80. It was left over from my leveling days and I included it just for completness.
One thing, Egg of Mortal
saedo — Thu, 04/02/2009 - 11:01One thing, Egg of Mortal Essence isn't an on use trinket. Chance on proc thingy.
I think its easier to use
Prime8 — Thu, 04/02/2009 - 12:45I think its easier to use /use 13 and /use 14 for on use trinkets. You can comment out one or both of them by changing it to #use 13 if you switch trinkets to something you want to save the one use (like the sapphire owl or a pvp trinket).
Well use 13 & 14 are good
Aidin — Thu, 04/02/2009 - 13:00Well use 13 & 14 are good unless you pvp alot when you aren't raiding.
Wearing your medaillian of the alliance, you have to edit ALL macros to keep it from popping. Boo who wants to do that everytime?
I assumed that was a given
saedo — Thu, 04/02/2009 - 12:59I assumed that was a given since his Stormstrike macro does that.
It's just a bit weird to use a proc trinket, that's all. lol
For the last one, I just
Prime8 — Thu, 04/02/2009 - 10:28For the last one, I just bound a key through the keybindings interface to focus target and another to target focus. I'm using Q and E. The one you have for healer interupts is also really good for raiding, I use it a variation of that all the time on KT. Here's mine:
#showtooltip
/cast [target=targettarget, harm] [target=target] Wind Shock
I usually have the main tank set as my focus, even if I'm raid healing (and if I'm raid healing on KT, sometimes I set a ret pally as my focus). The only annoying thing about it is that if you're targeting a friendly target, it will show you as being in range for wind shock, but the harmful target may actually be out of range.
I would recommend changing your cleanse/purge macro to a mouseover, it makes cleansing insanely easy with grid, and lets you keep your target on the tank.
/use 14 /cast tidal
Lunchbox — Thu, 04/02/2009 - 12:44/use 14
/cast tidal force
/cast Chain Heal
I have living ice crystals in my bottom trinket slot so i have all my healing spells with this macro. that way you constantly get the increase as soon as it is up.
