Ulduar10!!1 (maybe 25)

Another day another dollar. Great job on the 25 man last week -- we had three quick kills before hitting a wall on Kologarn. Each shot, successful or not, is practice and progress, so don't get discouraged. Be proud of the success we've had!
I'll be out of town next weekend, so Blue is going to be leading -- God help you all! -- and it will be the same approach as this week. Try to get on by 10:30 -- we'll make the call at 11:30 on whether or not 25 man is going to happen, and 10 man it if not. Invite your DPS friends, especially if they're pumping out 3500+ consistently, and we'll probably need 1-2 solid healers this week to fill in as well.
Keep up the sexy work. Can't wait to hear about how it goes.

Great job guys. no wipes til hodir. Made it to him in about 3 hours. Work on readin up some strats on iron council, hodir and beyond for next week as we obviously have the first 6 bosses down just fine. Move out of shit, get on mounds, dont die...lol Great job I really enjoyed this run. Make sure and sign up for next weeks when torvo gets it up.

The Hodir thing took us awhile and by the time we really all understood it we were tired. HOWEVER: much fun to do. And to learn with people who laugh alot (even if I do giggle at inappropriate moments) I'm CERTAIN that next week he will fall to the charm that is Ulduar 10!!

If it was not for me not already in a 10's with red rocket, I would definitely do 10's with you guys. I did stay online to see if we had a chance of doing 25's, but it was cancelled. Hopefully we can get some more ppl to do 25's next week.

I have a new CPU (quad core), a new motherboard and went from 4 to 8gb ram to go along with my new 64 bit OS. The terrabytes of lost data is just gone, alas. It had some great videos I made in the arena and the time I soloed the iron colossus (on the third try).
Blue, I have suggested to Judy (Wyndrez/Bellexie) that she and the main gang join us in this raid. Their guild is having a terrible time raiding. There are a few unreliable people and the guild that they had tried to raid with ninja loots the best gear. If we could get a few of their top people, who definitely are seeking to raid more, we could round out things nicely.

Glad you are getting your computer back and running. I talked to a few of those guys after I ran a 10 man OS the other afternoon and did 750dps more than their best dps (admonishment). They are trying ulduar and are banging their heads against the walls which is no surprise as their gear is just not that great. Their problem is they should be running naxx25 but cant find a consistent way to do that. I was thinking about running a fri night naxx25 and adding them in. I dont think I will be able to get it off the ground this week as my wifey is going out with her friends so I will be on kiddy patrol. That is where I think they need to focus though and then I wouldnt mind adding them in for uld25 once we get that going.

Vitriola — Fri, 06/19/2009 - 06:53Nice work on the dps. Yes, their output is smallish but they are good people and good players that have the most awful time getting raids going. I have sat around for hours while they struggled to get a raid going. After a few years on a submarine you develop the ability to wait around painlessly even when nothing is happening but it is not for the faint of heart. I would love it if they could get themselves together enough to get good gear and come along with us. I would rather have them than the average pug type, though some of them are people too.

If everyone of our now regulars dont get pulled to kitty or salmon that is. As of right now we have 8 sign ups and outside of 1 which is a newer guild app the rest of you are regulars. Add in that torvo, healanoid, dont know if ryu was on there, luc and kandypants, roronek we are getting a pretty good list going. If we could find a few more regular, dependable high dps guys than maybe we could do a 25 man even without better gear.

Pugging dps that do 2k isnt going to cut it and we wont make very good progress or get gear. These are real issues and Torvo and I have discussed moving this back down to 10 mans to get our core people 10 man ulduar gear.
At this point there are very few if any who have any tier 8 gear right? I would like to change that! Thoughts, ideas? I am game for trying to run a 25 man but my real goal is to see end game content and get end game gear and to do that we may need to take a step back and get geared up a little better as well as learn the fights in a little easier scenario. Just my 2 cents please add what you think as well.
