Kitten Brigade - Ulduar (w/ possible VoA)

Usual Tuesday routine. Kill bosses, kill VoA bosses if available.
*Ideally*, this is what I'd love to see completed:
1) 3-tower Flame Leviathan
2) XT002 Hard Mode (should be MUCH more doable this week)
3) Razorscale, Ignis, Kologarn, Auriaya all killed.
4) More shots on Iron Council hardmode; discuss viability of rolling tank-saving CD's during middle/last part of fight.

Do people hate using pots on Hard Modes? Is higher dps scary to look at? Are you too cheap/lazy to raid?

Didn't pot for XT, but did somewhere later in the night.
Edit: BTW, I did check other pots and this was the only prominently used one. Quisjaa had Indestructable pots too, Poisondonut used a couple of Wild Magic (only him), so the list did not change at all.
Pots
Enixa — Wed, 06/17/2009 - 15:44Pots are very important on fights like XT, IC HM, Hodir and Thorim as well. Unfortunately, with this being my final "at school" term they really have dropped a shellbomb of HW and I'm on long enough to raid most days. I do farm dailies on weekends but for those with constraints be a little "less" harsh, but still ridicule them for not up'ing dps. For those with the spare time but without the pots altogether.... Shame Shame.
Hard mode (core) raiding
saedo — Wed, 06/17/2009 - 16:09Hard mode (core) raiding requires more than just logging in at raid time and mucking around. You do need to do stuff outside of raids. Farm consumables, earn gold, do dailies, research your own fuckin class, be the best you, you can be. Time is needed outside of raids. There are no excuses if you really want us, and you yourself, to raid at this level.
If you do have contraints, I feel for ya. Then you have to ask yourself, am I holding back the raid cause I don't have enough time to devote to the level we want to achieve?

Regardless if you're at the top of the meters or bottom of the meters, my standing is that if you can do better, then do better.
My particular attitude towards myself is that I suck and can always do better, Regardless if I'm topping meters or not, never be satisfied. I'll contemplate about fixing any mistakes the next week, explore about other possbilities, etc, etc.

Helm enchant is the BC (shatar?) enchant, and no chest enchant. That said, I've heard Ele shaman have been having problems since the release of 3.1.

There's more information out there, but there is a discussion going on anyway about ele shaman dps not being competitive. If I had to venture a guess on my own, I'd say fight mechanics in general are the problem, rather than the class or specific spells. Shaman have always been "turret" casters. Movement is our biggest enemy.

I actually predicited that ferals would do retarded damage, reading the patch notes and such and keeping up to date, checking out the PTR... it was so much that it made me go "Well shit, if I'm going to dps I may as well freaken be feral!" But 1 I knew that wouldn't go well even if my feral set was basically on par with my chicken set.... and 2 well... I'd just be too much of a beast for the raid to handle ;).
Kidding aside, perhaps he just got extremely unlucky? I know I got decently unlucky on our kill.

Looking at the Heals portion. You "hit with Chain heal 10 times. Asumming it hit's 3 targets, that's 3.333 Casts WASTED on healing. I won't say anything about the lesser Heal waves because I "want" to assume you used those when you moved for eithr debuff and felt like you might be out of range of healers. Let the healers do their jobs, DPS is yours.

Looking at Debuffs.... 2 of each debuff would cause some running around todo. But assuming you moved 1 sec after you get either debuff, You should only be losing MAYBE 1 and 1/2 casts in that process if positioned right. Use these to start improving again luc!!

That's pretty badass and I think more classes could doit occasionally. But we already had more healers than normal on XT and healing was rock solid.
