For some reason, when I have this on auto-cast, it doesn't automatically cast. Intentional or bug?
Same for me, and not only does it not autocast, but when your pet dies, the pet bar disappears, so you cannot just click on it.
You have to open your spellbook, switch to the pet tab, and click it there.
You also can't drag it to a slot.
I haven't tried putting it in a macro and hotkeying the macro button yet.
This spell is really bugged in many ways, atleast for me.
Though there is a macro there too:
/cast [nopet] Call Pet
/cast [target=pet, dead] Revive Pet
/cast [pet, nomodifier, button:1] Mend Pet
/cast [pet, nomodifier, button:2] Dismiss Pet
#showtooltip
/cast [modifier:Ctrl] [pet:cat/devilsaur/spirit beast] Heart of the Phoenix
If you have no pet and leftclick the macro you call it.
if your pet is dead it revives it (not really needed with HotP)
if your pet is out and you left click the macro you mend the pet
if your pet is out and you right click the macro you dissmiss it
if your pet has died and you don't have Cooldown on HotP you can press hold down CTRL while pressing the macro to instant ress pet (you can always change the modifier to ALT or Shift).

Xvii — Mon, 07/06/2009 - 00:46Lmao like I said, that video is old, back then (like I said dont know if its changed) you couldn't put pet abilites on your own action bars only your pet action bar, and your pet action bar was filled with fucking garbage because hunters were broken and you had to have stupid shit like growl out on your pet bar because if you left it in your spell book it would automatically turn it on the auto use even if you've turned it off 100 times it always went back on if it was in your spell book.
Again those were the old days, I'm sure they've fixed that stupid shit since then.

Also seems to know his stuff, so better than typical rogue apps.
Gear wise, he's behind. Not too far though. Not Ulduar Hard Mode material, but perhaps entry level Ulduar to gear up a fill in kind of level.
Could also spend more gold to min-max the dps further ever so slightly. Though in the case of Greatness, huge upgrade.
My advice is to spend and focus on how to min-max now. Not when 3.2 arrives, whenever that might be (though good to be aware of needed changes), and not hoping for that lucky upgrade that you may get one day.

2. You say you're raiding combat because the spec provides more dps than the others, why do you think it does? Are you, really sure it does? Really, really sure?
3. You say you've been in every instance boss except Algalon. Though, by your achievements, you've only done up to the keepers, and that was only recently (Jul 1st). Vezax isn't a kill (not even on 10 man), though I can give you the benefit of a doubt and let's say you've participated in attempts. That just means you've never seen Yogg-Saron either. Interestingly, never got a kill on Razorscale 25, nor Iron Council 10.
4. You talk about doing Sarth3D back in the day how fun and hard it was... But with achievements, you've never even completed Sarth2D on 25, nor Sarth1D on 10 man. You sure you've even seen a Sarth3D?
5. Exalted Hodir good. Honored Ebon bad. This means you don't have access to a good helm enchant. Wow, only Friendly with Kirin'tor, ugh, dungeon reps itself is pretty poor.
6. Just saying again, need to see pve gear to make fun of that! ;p

Xvii — Sun, 07/05/2009 - 13:07Excellent observations, although I should have noted I raided on a hunter and a paladin before my rogue.(in wotlk anyway) and yes I've only made attempts on the bosses in which I say I've been to and done mostly due to the fact that I've actually spent more time in Uld in pugs than I have accumulative raids thus far. I've only been with my current guild a couple weeks and only done most of the bosses in Uld with them (as you said their are a few I havn't done with this guild yet)
Anywho, as far as Sarth 3D my hunter holds the achiev for that (Azpect of thorium brotherhood ) if you really want to look it up. I'm not one to fib to make my self look better I'll have you know. Everything I've said is legitiment.
And yes I'm really really sure combat provides the best pve dps right now. If you have in depth questions on this analysis I'd love to chat in vent about it. However it'd be a bit much to dicuss in text x_x
Edit: Also yes I don't have my rep with ebon blade yet, I actually still use a pvp helm for pve as I've lost rolls on pve upgrade helms (specifically 7.5) countless times. The dice just don't seam to fall in my favor. However I'll have you know I'm in a heroic with my shiney tabard on at the moment finishing my rep haha. Heopfully I'll have a helm to enchant soon -_-
