Wow. Haha, we are going way back definitly. Well I began playing play Wow 6 months after the game came out. Ive raided everything to say the least. Pre-Bc, there is too much to talk about, and I probably can not even remember anything, being that was my stoner days as a young pup. Yet in BC I was with Redemption and we got up to Black Temple and Magister's Terrace, as you already know. A little before the expansion came out, I left due to moving for college. I rejoined serenity and we have currently progressed to General in 25 Ulduar. I left, because their " criticism" of other people in guild was rude, profound, and degrading. I stood up for guildies, but was constantly shut down with " you are obviously in the wrong guild". Im sry, but i do not believe, "you fucking suck" is constructive critcism.

I just recently returned from Iraq, where I saw many things no man should see in his life. I am experienced and well rounded in the arts, I love wine, cheese, and food served in unlimited portions. Might I suggest a couple of quick fixes?

Enchants:

Weapon: +63 SP

Chest: +10 Stats

Wrists: +30 SP

Boots: Tuskarr's Vitality (+hp5 +run speed increase (probably one of the most important enchants in game atm))

Shoulders: You need to get your SoH rep up to get the new shoulder enchants. Your gear is good, but that rep is seriously lacking.

Gemming:

Pants: Replace +16SP gem with +19 SP gem

Looking through your gear, you've done a decent job. Now, I looked at your achievements (specifically your questing achievements) and noticed you've done 0/140 quests in Icecrown and 43/100 in Storm Peaks. I think you've done enough quests in Storm peaks to have unlocked the SoH quest chain, so I would suggest starting to work on that asap.

The reason I brought up your quest achievements is because of the new fixes you might want to make. These are going to cost some gold, and you have some places to make some quick gold to fund these changes if you inspire to make them. Personally, I made over 800g in one day questing out of Icecrown. So there's plenty of gold to be made, just gonna take a little bit of time and work.

I fixed all of the chants. Will finsih the gem and boot chant today. As for Icecrown, i never quested there, because i got deployed soon after i hit 80. I can start questing there and finish the zone in a week or so, working around work and time.

Honestly, I'd only do what I had to do in Icecrown for the Ebon Blade rep. Other than that, there's not much of importance there except for good quest rewards and quest gold.

I agree with Derch here about Icecrown. The quests there serve no purpose outside of Knights of the Ebon Blade Rep and gold. So it's no big issue that you havent done the quests out there, except to get your rep up.

And I understand the issue with getting deployed. I was deployed the day TBC was released back in 2007. I missed the first 7 months of it, which meant I was a bit behind when I was finally able to play again. Like I said, however, your gear is good. Just some small fixes to make it that much better. Also, I must impress how important the shoulder enchants are. Please do your best to get that rep up as fast as possible. Buy Relics of Ulduar if you feel necessary, otherwise doing the dailies everyday will get you there eventually.

Also, please provide us with an updated UI. To be completely honest, Im not a big fan of your reasoning behind wanting to give us a "fake UI"... flameshield or not, it's better to let us help you fix it with some suggestions and a bit of criticism than to automatically assume we would be assholes about it.

I will apologize first and foremost. I was under the impression you were a lvl 80 and totally mis read that you were 70 but that is completely my fault. Your UI shot works fine in this case. And hey we all make mistakes. A simple misclick is probably the least of anyones worries here. But yes one of the mods we use here mainly is Grid as healers. Have U used grid ever and would you be willing to convert?

I am sure moriella will come in here and speak more on rotations and where you have points spec'd and such. I hope you take whatever he says and listen as he is the most knowledgable priest I have ever met!

Good luck with the app process it can be a grueling and long process or go quick. If you have issues finding runs to get into during the week next week Torvo runs a saturday 11am ST run through Ulduar. He runs it mainly to get guild apps in and see what they can do and how they adapt. He is a great raid leader and I am sure will get you killed on at least 3 occasions! ;) Seriously though it is a good group and can always use an extra healer especially if we get enough sign ups to make it a 25 man. Hope to see you on!

Btw to the first comment about healbot. You do know that everyheal is customized to one button therefore, all u need to do is click a name with certain key and heal is casted. A grid makes no difference, it may be more recent thats all. Names high light different colors for different diseases, magic, etc casted on them. On heal bot, the life bar shows incoming heals. Therefore everything mentioned about healbot is the same as grid or maybe you just dont know how my healbot works :]

Grid+clique or keybinds will do the same thing. Grid shows more information than healbot, and is more customizable. Having used healbot in the past. Grid beats it, I don't click heal though I use mouseover macros.

Grid is standard for everyone raiding in guild. Try it out see if you like it. But it is better than healbot for those reasons and you also can see raid debuffs, druid hots everything in a box that allows for everything to be nice and neat. The only thing missing from grid. Is the heals, Which as a healer you should be dong yourself or the game just isn't fun.

Don't try to defend healbot though. I think everyone has heard those reasons 20 times around. And do go get grid because it is standard. I think ,esp. for a priest, You will like it much much more than healbot.

Your input is greatly appreciated. I do enjoy making myself better, yet on the other hand, ever comment made about healtbot, grids, what have you. All became based off of an old screenshot. Due to the fact that i do currently use a grid and have uprgraded my style of since this screenshot, every jump at me is completely invalid. I chose to put up an old screenshot, just to see how aggressivly i would be attacked. Turned out to be more respectful than i had presumed. Defensive, would not be the best term to describe. I believe that you should gently bring the soup to your lip for a brief second, before ingesting a spoonful. If you follow me. I was merely testing out the water before i jumped in. Yet again, one style of play from one player may not suit another. Just another perspective i am throwing out there. I believe the only way to tell is if i was given a chance. I personally understand your actions however there are still good reasons for requesting a UI screenshot; at the very least it's insight into some choices you've made regarding your style of play. We want to know about your style of play and while the UI doesn't say everything, it says something (for some it can say a lot). The only thing better would be to require everyone to upload a fraps of them raiding and that would be silly.

Do consider, while your healing maybe be awesome sauce, a current UI screenshot is a part of the application for everyone.

1. You saying your UI was put up there purposefully to test the waters can also be construed as a lie so that you can save face for a mistake you made. I'm not saying you made a mistake I'm saying it can be construed that way.

2. Carno is right. When looking at a persons action bars and you see a very important spell has to be clicked with a mouse when in a time of need it needs to be fast. That is huge.

3. A hot UI is like dating a hot chick. You just want to show it off to your friends and say ha ha ha... Check me out. (see garreths UI for my reference)

4. Your healing may be awesome sauce (really carno they make a sauce for that. Oh ya awesome sauce is made out of my sweat) But a good player and good person is looked on better than a person who puts up massive number because it is a community.

5. A hot UI, Is also great because it shows that someone cares enough about the game to go and work on a UI. to get the most out of it. Which in any good UI. you have a ton of info displayed to get the most of your raiding, easily found, and it makes everything better splayed out.

Respect is given to guild apps. There may be some jokes going around. Esp. about using a 1x25 healbot for another reason. But all in all its really in good fun and meant to get your attention more than blatantly single you out, or judge you without knowing you. The fact that instead of cursing at us, or getting extremely on defensive, and lashing out like a cornered racoon or an extremely proud person. You just left it at that. And Not many people can just walk away like that.

We won't "judge" you off of a misclick or a mis-scroll on an application forum that, itself, has misspellings in it.

However, you should be prepared - as Saedo has mentioned - to rationalize your choices about elements of your UI. It's not to say that you need a fiercely customized UI to be a good player - rather, a good player can be made to be a GREAT one with a little help from UI customization.

Also, try not to get too defensive :)
