I like using addons to help me if there are fights that require a lot of coordination, I'd like a mod to tell me when certain procs are up or who's being targetted by the boss etc.

PvE

Raid Experience:

Classic WoW I was a healer. I raided Mc, Ony, BWL, Aq20 + 40, ZG Naxx, and constantly did regular instances.
BC - KZ, SSC, TK, ZA, Gruul's Lair, Mag's lair, Hyjal, BT. Basically stopped raiding during Illidan progression. I was also usually a healer and in heroics a tank.
WoTLK - I've experienced every heroic as all 3 roles. Every raid as resto / moonkin with the acception of General Vezax + Mimiron + Yogg. I haven't experienced those 3 bosses yet. (also algalon obviously)

I understand that he gave some pretty bad answers. It seems he was being far too blunt and honest. In reality though, we have had people join who put up a front about being into community and then grab some shinies and leave.

So, instantly shutting down an app because of lack of tact probably isnt the best way to go about grabbing raiders, especially when we put up a recruitment post specifying mages/druids and the entire server is bleeding raiders.

Other apps get to at least sit in dfrecruit and run shit while we work them through gearing enchants rotation etc. From what I know of this app, he is a very good player and knows his class inside and out and specs, gems, enchants properly.

That's my two cents, I know we talk alot about being a community first, but how many more people are we gonna run through cheeseball ulduars while we wait for them to develop into solid raiders?

While it may have been far too fast on the closing of this application (I will be reopening it shortly for precisely that reason), this guy doesn't have a lot going for him.

There's a difference between "lack of tact" (e.g. "I guess I could wait but it'd be wasting my time") versus blunt honesty ("I don't want to wait"). This guy is the latter.

This guy doesn't sound like he wants to sit in dfrecruits and wait for opportunities. This guy also took pot-shots at me on the Gorgonnash forums, specifically in our recruitment thread. Were it up solely to me, based on first impressions I'd sooner kick him in the knees than invite him, based on that alone.

Lastly, yes, the server is bleeding raiders. But it doesn't do us a lick of good to invite a guy, tell him to hang out until opportunity comes around, and have him bail. Nor does it do us any good to pitch some gear at him and have him bail because he doesn't feel like he's getting a fair shake at raiding.

I will be reopening this application, if only so that we actually GIVE people the benefit of the doubt and ability to explain themselves. They deserve that much for applying.

What does "the server is bleeding raiders" actually mean? Are people leaving the game in droves? Leaving the server? Learning that girls > wow?

Yes it would. I would like to start raiding within a week or 2 of being accepted if it's possible. I do have patience but I also don't have time to waste sitting out for 3 weeks or more that I could spend in another guild.

What things might cause you to leave?:

Quitting the game or losing a raid spot.
