As I spent 40 minutes jumping back and fourth into an additional instances cannot be launched message something hit me, and then this post was born.
TL:DR : Feeling the luke warmth from wow being on the "back burner"? Yeah, me too
You continually lower the bar this expansion but the problem is that the majority of the people never reach for the bar, most don't even know where the bar is so when you lower it the people who have always been beneath it continue to be beneath it. The flood of super casual to inexperienced to unambitious individuals is staggering, you put them in the same gear as everyone else and make it near impossible to tell them apart without actually playing with them. I find myself judging someones ambition through enchants +8 to chest, honored sons of hodir, 50 spellpower to weapon, 15 haste to cloak. These are my red flags this is how I have come to weed out the WOTLK player base. Does this make me elitist, no I don't think so if you think about it there really is no more basic requirement than to have the best enchantments and gems in your gear.
As developers with this expansion you continue to broadcast the fact that you simply are phasing this game out. Instead of innovating you're homogenizing, giving multiple classes the same exact spells and mechanics with different names, making classes generally interchangeable. Don't get me wrong, I am not a hater I just call em like I see em and pretty much the final blow was this up and coming patch 3.2 Isle of Conquest.
Four raid locks of the same content is going to be brutal, you took your hardmode idea in a whole new direction this time. Your set bonuses used to be game changing, it affected how you played your character set bonuses were totally unique. Additional crit to basic spells is the new 4 piece? For seven of the classes? I can't help but feel like this is some sort of placeholder or rushed mistake; but you only confirmed it by making every single plate leather and cloth graphic identical except for a slick recoloring job that you've been doing since season two.
Take a look at

If MMO did a comparative image to tier 2 or tier 3 tell me you would not be embarrassed of yourselves blizz. Where is your trademark originality, how did you word it? Setting the industry standard? Tier upgrades used to be a big deal, not it's just a matter of fact an inevitability both because you give it away and because you soften its impact on the game. You made 4 different models for 10 different classes, this is like mcdonalds taking the pickles off their burgers because "we sell 100 million burgers a day with the pickles and without the pickles, so why not save a buck you'll still buy them"
I remember getting my Footpads of silence made a long time ago and talking with the other rogues on the server "What is this a placeholder graphic" but the joke was it wasn't you simply left the tier lasting item to look like a level quest reward. Naxx being rehashed for the masses, I guess I can't complain I just thought you were using it to collect data to circumvent the balance corner that you've backed yourselves into, which to your credit you're addressing so props to that. The raid vibe is pretty grim, achievement chasing is the new endgame, adding a drake or a tree or ignoring an add the new "pre nerf" type challenge. Your endless quest to balance both pvp and pve simultaniously keeps a lot of classes especially mine in some sort of stasis chamber unable to be touched for fear of throwing one of the two facets of this game out of whack. Northrend is utterly unnavigable, Wintersgrasp the unflyable black hole dead center of everything. Constantly forcing us to hearth around between old world and dalaran just to use an auction house or to conduct trade.
So I gotta ask watching your "industry standard" decline over the years where do we go from here blizzard? And please don't flaunt your playerbase statistics at me like it's any indication of where the game is today, my bet is minimum 45% of them are just holding on long enough for something better or equivalent to come out. And let me make this quite clear to you, I love your games I always have I was hooked on you since diablo 1. I don't hate on you any more than you force me to, this is a reaction your service. I hope someone in your endlessly depleting design staff gave this thing a read, now let me get back to jumping at an instance portal awaiting the miracle of zoning through it.

You young whippersnappers
saedo — Fri, 07/17/2009 - 14:35You young whippersnappers have it good. Back in my days we had to play WoW in the snow. Walking 10 miles uphill every day. We didn't have your fancy mods or pretty UIs. We had a dot. Oh it was a good dot, focuses your eyes real well. We could hold off using bifocals til the ripe old age of 26. Of course back in those days, everything costed a quart. Not like the quarters of nowadays. It was a quart of a nickel. We'd go in the stores and shops and yell i'll give you 3 quarts of a dime for that ollar. Oh and back then we didn't have nice plastic mouses. We were using real living ones. We'd hang them off our belt, which was the fashion at the time. And we didn't call them mouse either, they were emors. Now where was I... Ah yes, we'd get 3 quartz of a pen for 5 pence of a shaller. Back in my days, we had to play WoW in the snow. Walking 10 mizzzzzzzzzz
