Plan of Attack?
Rescue Toaster — Sat, 07/25/2009 - 12:34So I'm wondering what our plan of attack might be?
Since it seems like that patch looms ever closer we will need to bust out our hard modes post haste. I see on our list of things to do we need: Iron Dwarf: Medium Rare; Disarmed; Knock, Knock, Knock on Wood, Firefighter, I Love the Smell of Saronite in the Morning, and One Light in the Darkness.
Are we planning on skipping Ignis, and Iron Council to get more time on the hard modes we still need or are we simply going with our typical course through the instance? Is this question even going to be answered before raid tonight?
O_o
The drakes aren't going away
saedo — Sat, 07/25/2009 - 13:05The drakes aren't going away at 3.2, and might never go away. And they're staggering boss releases (1 per week), so even likely still time to do Ulduar after 3.2. Hard mode raid won't even be accessible til you complete the normal mode once.
Anyways, my thoughts for you guys.
Iron Dwarf, Medium Rare: You could just do a few each week, or spend 1 ten minute session to do them all then never go back to it again
Disarmed: Easy stuff. At 35-40% ish, start getting both arms low then kill them all
Knock, Knock, Knock on Wood: A good challenge, need high dps, with coordinating (break out, don't blow up, etc), and the healers to keep up.
Firefighter: Hardest thing to do. But once you do this, the rest will seem easy. Lots of damage, lots of spatial awareness needed.
I Love the Smell of Saronite in the Morning: This is a relatively easy one. High dps and coordinated healing. Bring Shadow Protection pots to help you out the first time. There might be still some in the gbank (we made a bunch and no longer need to use them).
One Light in the Darkness: Basically the same fight, just need execution to not lose sanity, well and the dps to not fall behind on anything.
Iron Council: Well you're gonna need this Hard Mode for the drakes too, and the key to Algalon (unless you got medium?). You'd likely want to accomplish this before Mimiron at least cause you might not want to try that hard mode again.
