Flash Player

I can't figure this out. I've been trying to watch videos on youtube, but it says I need to get the latest version of flash player and I've downloaded it and installed it and it is still saying I need to update it, but I can play flash games on like flashplayer and xgen. This is leaving my very puzzled.
It has happened to me before, but I don't remember what I did to fix it.

Props to you for using
garreth — Mon, 08/17/2009 - 15:21Props to you for using NoScript in the first place. It's the only safe way to surf the 'tubes.
To avoid most of the tedious "allow this site" stuff, I just enable base level domains in NoScript. In other words, if the javascript originates from the site i'm looking at, then it will be allowed to execute. Otherwise, if the javascript is coming from outside the site I'm looking at (like the item tooltips here at downfallguild.org) I'll have to manually allow it.
Are you running Firefox +
saedo — Mon, 08/17/2009 - 11:16Are you running Firefox + Noscript and not allowing Youtube and ytimg (i think that's the embed url) to run javascripting?
That did it. It confused me
Alprazalam — Mon, 08/17/2009 - 12:40That did it. It confused me cause it didn't show a blank space like no script normally does, it was tell me to update flash player. Anyway, thanx.
Yea it depends on the site
saedo — Mon, 08/17/2009 - 13:05Yea it depends on the site and how they do their javascripting. They apparently do flash detection first before trying to embed the video for you.
What he said ^^ I have to
Aidin — Mon, 08/17/2009 - 11:20What he said ^^ I have to allow each video with NoScript running on Firefox.
