Please also see the 25 player version of "The Aristocrats" set with three time options for this week (currently in the calendar as Thursday)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_aristocrats
Destination: Trial of the Crusader (10 Man/Woman)
Pre-req's
1) Looking for raiders (alts or mains) that are at least Naxx 25 geared (ideally a little Ulduar gear mixed in there)
2) If you are a main, please ensure that you won't get in trouble for locking yourself ahead of a prescheduled team run later on in the week (Git-R-Done, Lava Crab, Existensialist Rabbit come to mind)
3) Be prepared for wipes
4) Read All Crusader's Coliseum Strategy guides
Loot Rules
No differentiation or priority to mains over alts
Tempted to say 1 item per run until everyone get's a chance, but essentially let's not be greedy please. This will be MS>OS, though OS will get priority if the only MS wanting an item has already taken one during the run. Any loot drama not covered by above rules will be resolved by common sense or raid vote - this IS a cheerocracy.

We wrapped location scouting
Kognus — Wed, 08/19/2009 - 14:43We wrapped location scouting early this afternoon.
Good luck guys
Jayel — Wed, 08/19/2009 - 13:03Weds are just plain impossible for me. I would like to say there is a chance I'll be there but its probably down in the 5% range so just replace me.
I really hope that I can make
Kognus — Wed, 08/19/2009 - 08:31I really hope that I can make it tonight, but I am out location scouting today so there's a possibility that I may be late.
Going back in to 10 Man CC to
Kwondre — Wed, 08/19/2009 - 05:35Going back in to 10 Man CC to bang our heads against the faction champs...I've allotted a full hour and a half before salmon raids.
At first, I thought we didn't have the CC to do this properly with our class composition...but I think with some defined roles, we can down it with the same group. Yesterday, our class set up was as follows:
1 Destro Warlock (Gnomorals), 2 Holy Paladins (Tuque, Kognus), 1 Disc Priest (Keisjaa), 2 Death Knights (Pulga, Jayel), 1 Warrior (Kwonzaa), 1 Rogue (Sip), 1 Elemental Shaman (Draconia), 1 Feral Druid (Karesh). This set up seems to be one CC short. I would like to avoid asking anyone to sit, but its going to mean we need to have to be super on the ball with CC's, stun's, peeling.
It may be possible that we need to sub Jayel's death knight for his druid, but we'll discuss later today. Any spec druid is fine actually, since Kognus can heal or DPS (and his DPS spec is better anyway). Might even have Kognus DPS and have Draconia heal, since she can chain raid heal.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but our targets are (sorted by kill order):
1) Disc Priest (Caiphus the Stern)
2) Resto Druid (Erin Misthoof)
3) Rogue (Maz'dinah)
4) Enhance Shaman (Thrakgar or Broln)
5) Warclock (Harkzog)
6) Mage (Ginselle Blightslinger)
We are burning the two healers. While this is happening, we need the Shaman and the Rogue CC'ed, Peeled, Stunned, what not. Assuming we're taking the same group, here are everyone's general CC priorities:
Pulga: You're going to be responsible for basically peeling the big melee hitters - namely the rogue or the shaman. Death grip, chains of ice, over and over and over again - preferably away from the main group.
Karesh: Aside from typical feral DPS, you need to be johnny on the spot with cyclone (initially on the healer that we're not training). Whichever melee that Pulga is not deathgripping away of the group, you need to be rooting.
Jayel: If you go on your DK...your primary role's gonna be DPS with the occasional chains/deathgrip. If yo
Me: I'm going to be responsible for Mortal Strikes and Overpowering heals, fears, attack power and speed debuffs, movement impairments.
Gnomorals: You're going to be annoying the living piss out of the mage. Whether it takes succubus, curses, chain fearing, whatever. That mage killed our heals. Also, will be DPS'ing the main target.
Sip: Dps down the main target, stun, blind other targets when possible
Draconia: Hex where possible
Tuque, Kognus: Aside from heal/dps, cleanse, bop, bof our butts. Stuns where possible.
Keisjaa: Shields, Heals, Dispels, and fear if you got the time.
Happy to take suggestions for alternative approaches. See you guys later!
I can sit out if need be.
saedo — Wed, 08/19/2009 - 10:25I can sit out if need be. I'm just a last minute fill in. Plus, even more out of my element for pvp healing, never really done much, not many BGs either! lol
dont be ridiculous! we need
Kwondre — Wed, 08/19/2009 - 10:34dont be ridiculous! we need your bops, hofs, beacons and shields!
something else that we may
Keisjaa — Wed, 08/19/2009 - 07:27something else that we may want to initiate on pull is to have a dk grip the priest out of the group(sooner dps can nuke & it means their melee have to close the gap to us
Priest(Disc)
Shi & i tended to do an improv kick rotation grip.mindfreeze the 1st cast(usually penance), small pause, strangulate(call on vent),2nd strangulate(also called), 1st dk kicks next heal then alternate between them kicking as many as you can till dead.
Druid(resto)
When it comes unbanished the key is to out dps the hots(the AI seems to try & regrowth/Nourish a fair bit which can be kicked quite easily by the 2 DK's)
next we may want to go after the shaman instead of the rogue (DK's swap to frost presence to mitigate some melee dmg)
no kicks to worry about really just a dps grind till dead with the fair amount of plate wearers this shouldn't be too bad but we may need to devote someone to totem stomping
Rogue(hemo)
Hammers here make for a rather quick burn, DK's try to chains him when he tries to run
Warlock(Affliction) (might want to kill the felhunter either here or before the rogue) (if gnomorals can try & chain fear the mage at this point as well)
DK's kick hellfire as he'll try to do it with so many melee on him
Mage
the last mob is basically a dogpile & kill till very dead
Yea that's a great idea on
Kwondre — Wed, 08/19/2009 - 07:57Yea that's a great idea on the deathgrip opener...it seems like the opener could make or break it on 10 man - and us just charging into them seems very stupid in retrospect. Jayel (horkina) will open it. Pulga and Karesh will chains and cyclone the druid then move on to dps'ing the priest.
Maybe we could even compliment that with an aoe fear to further delay melee from coming at us.
Should we have pulga and jayel kick rotating on the priest or should it be jayel and Minor (Sip)? I kind of like the idea of pulga peeling a melee heavy hitter off the group every to preserve some healing.
Outdps'ing the druid shouldn't be a problem. I will MS and overpower on casts. We can dispel his hots as well. We should probably save heroism for DPS'ing the druid, since if our opening pull works as intended, we won't be needing to outdps that many heals on the priest since the druid should be CC'ed.
Definitely want to have Everstar (draconia) switch to raid heals/hexing and Kognus switch to ret. Added benefit there being that he can judge light and hammer with more ease which will further help us on heals and stuns.
I think if we get the druid down with all 10 of us alive or at least battle ressable, the rest should be cake. I love the pre-planning and strategy that this fight requires.
