Observations: #1. You aren't

#1. You aren't really logged out in any gear, so I can't comment on enchants, gems, gear and possible upgrades.
#2. You aren't using any glyphs in your prot spec.
#3. Your protection spec needs help.
In order to help with numbers 2 and 3 I would advise the following:

Note that the 3rd major glyph is one of preference. If you end up running with a lot of guildies you may want to consider picking up glyph of vigilance. Glyph of heroic strike isn't a bad choice either since you should pretty much be spamming it on every boss fight. If you are soley running heroics then glyph of sunder armor or glyph of cleave might help with threat.
Once you armory is updated with some actual gear on I will try to provide more assistance.

He definately needs help with gear and theorycraft but he is open to advice as he has been away from the game until recently.
