I'd like to see him in green chat again, personally, and I've always liked him as a guildie before. Do I want to get burned again if he leaves again? Of course not, but denying him simply because he has stated that there is a specific circumstance that he'll leave(albeit a very small one according to him) isn't right in my opinion.

Not from the point of view of an officer.
Extenuating circumstances are "my mother died" or "I'm broke and can't afford to keep playing", not "my friends came back (again) from having quit the game (again) and I want to raid with them (again) until I realize it was a terrible mistake (again) and want to come back (again)."

Just know that if/when you quit because your friends-that-are-better-than-us want to raid for a month, I'll have a hearty belly-laugh, followed by a swift /gkick and naming every Saturday "lol@Shinso Saturdays".

Shinso is one of the few people with both the minerals to hold his stance in DF forum "debates" and the sense to be a rational contributor. He was a good presence in green chat in game, and I remember him being quite helpful to others needing groups and such.

From what I read of them (according to shinso), it sounds like they are more likely to be the ones to play for a bit then leave, which doesn't sound like the type of people that get invited to DF very often. I'm all for people wanting to get RL friends in, but in this situation it doesn't sound like the best move.
Shinso is not a douche, which automatically elevates him above 96% of the population on Gorgonnash. He was helpful in the past, and even if he does leave in the future to play with his RL friends, I don't see how his stay in DF will be detrimental on the guild.

To put it another way I would have, and previously have, continued in guild regardless of my raiding status just as I said in a post bellow plaents basicaly aligned. Also in my first guild app I did answer this question with no I don't see any situation in which I would leave, but now I know, and I felt that disclosing this information was important. It would be a striaght lie to say otherwise. Again you are talking about a 1 in a million chance of this happening, but I'm all for full disclosure.

His gear isnt the greatest and needs abit of work as Kwon pointed out but you should see the parses with his current gear quite impressive imo, also he has been saving mats to get crafted upgrades (takes a little more time for some than others Kwon....ahem gold farmer).
I dont know anything about shinso's past with DF. But for the future I would love to see shinso in green chat see you for salmon tommorow.

[Band of Guile] ---> change to at least a [Band of Channeled Magic]. It's not expensive. Get it....[Band of the Invoker] is even better. (minor but easily achievable upgrades are still upgrades)
You've got 2x [Quick King's Amber] and 1x [Smooth King's Amber]. Why would you gem straight yellows instead of [Reckless Ametrine] or [Potent Ametrine].
Buy a [Spellslinger's Slippers]...its not that expensive anymore and is a massive upgrade over [Boots of Impetuous Ideals] especially since your so over hit cap.
[Sundial of the Exiled], and [Abyssal Rune] are both easily accessible and both significantly better than [Talisman of Volatile Power].
[Collar of the Wyrmhunter] is better than [Conqueror's Kirin Tor Hood] in a vacuum, but the latter is the last piece of the all-important 4pc tier 8....get more conquest badges and buy the helm till you can get at least 2pc T9.
Take two points out of Flame Throwing (not a DPS boost or a regen tool), and put it into Student of the Mind (DPS increase as Fire) or Arcane Meditation (mana regen).

I answered about 2 blue gems in the post bellow.
I came back and I was wearing all t7.5 about 2 weeks ago. I had 1 item from not naxx (the collar). So in that time I got a bunch of normal tier 8 which is actualy a slight downgrade because it offers so little of the crit/haste rating I had in my 7.5. So, and I can show you this, I gemed all my t8 with epic straight rating gems to compensate for the loss in rating to get the set bonus. This is also why I kinda haven't replaced the old gems because I have currently used all 160ish Valor/Heorism and 70k honor I had befor eI quit on gems. I still have a small stock of honor to use to replace some gems but am wating on running a few things this week. (I got t8 normal pants gem'ed epic spellthread and 2 days later got conq.) Basicaly its a matter of my gear is changing faster then I can really keep up with it. Trinket wise I keep loosing rolls on rune (woohoo) and since everything I have is in such a state of flux right now id rather look at a 232 then at 200 in all honesty.

Wrath was one of those 1/million chances that we were all on the same page at the same time. We have our own chat channel we all use to communicate and most of the time they talk to me they make fun of me for being a nerd lol. So with 99% probability I can assue this won't happen. Again I won't say with absolute certinty that I will I will stay forever because Cat is like a year or possibly more away, situations change, but if anything ceasing activity with the guild would probably also be related to me ceasing all activity with wow alltogether.
About my gear. I quit almost immedietly after uludar came out. Stuff that i haven't changed is me being lazy and not updating gems on old stuff just yet. Hit I have no gems for and no gear to put in those slots that don't already have hit.
So in conclusion: Old mechianics I geared for are old, I reserve the right to a 1/million chance that the planets, stars and I suddenly accure the ability to cast black magic that my friends will all (that means getting like 7 people back) come back and all want to be pushing progression in Cat.
