Need Macro Help, plx
Kwondre — Sat, 10/24/2009 - 17:50
Ok, so my PVE spec is Fury Titan's Grip
I have the same weapon in my bag...but when I PVP as arms, I like to use the following macro:
#showtooltip Overpower
/cast battle stance
/equip Justicebringer
/cast overpower
Now, if i have both weapons in my bag, it keeps trying to switch between the two and starting a new GCD....
Does anyone know how I can get the UI to distinguish between the two?
Or make a macro that won't do any weapon equip if there is a weapon already equipped there?

I found some info on
Nuitarin — Sun, 10/25/2009 - 09:40I found some info on conditionals for halting a macro over on WoWWiki. A possible Overpower macro could be the following:
#showtooltip Overpower
/cast [stance:1,equipped:Two-Hand] Overpower; [stance:2/3] Battle Stance
/stopmacro [equipped: Two-Hand]
/equipslot 16 Justicebringer
Thanks for the tremendous

I like this macro. Now, I gemmed both weapons differently, but i guess with this macro, I can Gem them identically, because once a 2Her is equipped it won't try to equip a new one, and starting a GCD.
I still have to create two seperate sets of equip macros because as fury, switching from 1H/Shield to 2H/2H is annoying...maybe i should just not pull aggro and prevent the need to sword and board for shield wall =).
What you need is a
Nuitarin — Sun, 10/25/2009 - 09:09What you need is a conditional in your macro that will stop trying to equip your 2H weapon when you already have one equipped. I will think about it a bit.
Just for reference these are the macros that I use on my warrior and seem to work fine when I was just testing them in dalaran.
Edge of Ruin is my 2H weapon
Teldrassil Protector is my 1H tanking weapon
Titansteel Shield Wall is my shield
This macro will equip my 2H weapon and cast overpower if in battle stance, will switch to battle stance if in other stance:
#showtooltip Overpower
/equipslot 16 Edge of Ruin
/cast [stance:1] Overpower; [stance:2/3] Battle Stance
This macro switches to 1H weapon and shield and casts spell reflect if in battle or defensive stance. It will move you to defensive stance if you are in berserker stance. It will stop trying to equip a shield if one is already equiped:
#showtooltip Spell Reflection
/cast [stance:1/2,equipped:shields] Spell Reflection; [stance:3] Defensive Stance
/stopmacro [equipped: shields]
/equipslot 16 Teldrassil Protector
/equip Titansteel Shield Wall
A simular macro to the spell reflection macro. This equips Shield and 1H weapon, moves you to defensive stance if in any other stance and casts shield wall:
#showtooltip Shield Wall
/cast [stance:2,equipped:shields] Shield Wall; [stance:1/3] Defensive Stance
/stopmacro [equipped: shields]
/equipslot 16 Teldrassil Protector
/equip Titansteel Shield Wall
You saying you have 2
saedo — Sat, 10/24/2009 - 18:35You saying you have 2 Justicebringers and it's fucking up searching and equipping the right one?
Then you prob need to do a direct bag reference.
/use 0 0
First number is bag, 0-4 from right to left (backpack to other bags).
Second numbers is bag slot number within the bag.
Which goes from left to right, top to bottom in numbering, that is..
1 2 3 4
5 6 7 8
etc.
You'd have to keep your specific Justicebringer in the exact bag slot you specified for this to work of course.
Otherwise, you'd want to use an Outfitter type mod with some special scripting maybe added in.

i tried this, the only
Kwondre — Sun, 10/25/2009 - 02:33i tried this, the only problem is i can't spam the bag slot macro because whenever i equip the weapon, my 1H always goes into that slot, so if i press it more than once, I'll keep switching between 1H and 2H
The way I got around it was the make 2 overpower macros...one for PVE that doesn't equip a weapon, and 1 for PVP, which just attempts to /equipset "PVP" each time....not an elegant solution, but i think it will work =T
Throw a [equipped:One-Handed
saedo — Sun, 10/25/2009 - 02:53Throw a [equipped:One-Handed Swords] in there or something? Make it only equip the 2H if you're holding a 1H.
