Ok, Ive searched Google for about an hour now trying to get my computer to work. I purchased some new ram for an OLD machine I'm working on at work. Called Office depot, told them the model of the computer and the speed of the ram. They said they had it and I got it. Installed it this morning, wont boot up, even after I put the old ram back in, still wont boot. The fans start up, i get a hint of the screen for about 2 seconds then it shuts off. Any suggestions?

Looks like it worked. Thanks

Felsteel — Thu, 11/19/2009 - 10:30I thought I did at first, the went back and made sure all the connections were good. It turns on and it gets power, but then it shuts off like someone pulled the power. sometimes I get 1-2 seconds and other times i get 4-5 seconds then poof off. No weird noises or beeps, just starts like it normaly would then poof, gone. shuts off. I dont think I've shorted anything out, it did come on once out of 20 tries and worked fine. Just dont know where to pin the problem.
