Has anyone ever tried using this ethernet over power interface? I've seen in around now for quite some time, but dont know anyone whos actually usued it. How is it's reliability to say, wireless? Speed? etc.

Olorien — Mon, 11/23/2009 - 11:34I have seen it used AG. I have a buddy that tried it. Speed was fine, 100MB throughput, but it did cause some interferrence near the devices. This interferrence could have been due to poor wiring in the house, or bad equipment, and is something to watch for, if you try it.
The other thing to know is that it will only work for elctrical that is on the same side of the circuit breaker for your house. You can bridge the breaker with a special piece of equipment but I am not sure what it is and requires an electrician to install.
The technology has been around for a while though and does work. Post if you try it, I would love to know how it works for you.

darkwolf — Mon, 11/23/2009 - 15:25also if im not mistaken with this tech its more "unstable" if that is the right word during storms so best bet is to unplug in case of a surge, but do not quote me just something ive heard from people.
