I have to admit that I couldn't get the chance to experience WoW Classic and TBC raids and dungeons before the expansions went live on Official Blizzards realms. This is due to the fact that Blizzard didn't take Colombian (the country I'm from and live in) credit cards before the Latinamerican realms went live, so I could only play on private realms with all kinds of bugs and stuff.

I've accomplished all the WOTLK dungeons and raids except for Ulduar and ToGC's yet. This is one on the main reasons I want to transfer and join your guild. The guild I play in now had a big crisis when Secrets of Ulduar patch went live. So we spent like 3 months with no constant raiding. We tried to hold together and I tried to be patient until the guild got back up again. After that, new members got in and things got better but now they don't want to finish Ulduar 10 or 25 man, not even the hard modes because ToC gives them better gear, they say (not the guild leaders, the members).

Also, even wanting ToGC purples, peolpe keep missing programmed raid events, so we can't get the people with the necessary skills to finish them.

In terms of the role, I've mostly gone DPS, using special class skills when needed (even sacrificing DPS for that)

Thank you for your time you put into your application. Always appreciated. I would like to know your thoughts on multitasking. More specifically, if you had the gear could you heal? boomkin? druid tank? Are you able to do multiple things, and if so, have often have you done them? A lot of classes go dual spec and offer a tank or healer if they can as I do on my ele/resto shaman.

We might not always need you to just dps, some fights tank at one time and dps another. Let me know how comfortable you feel. Other than that I feel multiple people would like to get to know you.

Hello there.

My off-spec now is for tanking. As I said in a previous comment, I self-proclaimed myself as a tank for new lvl 80s in my actual guild, just to help them catch up because, as drakkari being up only a year and a half, we do get a lot of new latinamericans leveling main characters.

Tanking one fight and DPSing another is a thing I'm willing to do if needed. My main habilities are on DPS, but I've done my homework on tanking as well. I have pretty decent gear for tanking now, I just need to get the proper gems and enchants. I haven't been able to get them due to lack of gold (lots of wipes lately).

Just to share..

1) Looking at your talents first, there is really no need for Nurturing Instinct as you are dpsing.. You shouldn't need much heals unlike a tank, unless you are always standing in the fire.. This talent is more for PVP though..

This is due to the end-game raid we have now (ToC) that has no thrash mobs, so AoE is not needed that much.

2) Yes, I agree for TOC.. But for TOGC, there ARE thrash mobs(Snowbolds, Portals/Volcanos, and Anub).. That's why Swipe is important.. It also contributes mostly for our dps.. http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-9intx77af3p5c8sx/sum/damageDone/ (Anub's fight).. ~Still waiting for Blizz to come out Glyph of Swipe.. :)

What is your least favorite 25-man Boss encounter, and why?:

Kologarn. Because it's just boring and I can't use my best DPS skill (shred) :P

3) This is just for your info.. Yes, you can't shred, but you can swipe and can hit all 3 targets. It gives you more dps compared to just shredding one target.
Gear is good with 4 Triumph. But I use 2 Triumph and 2 Conquerors. Just to share, do you really need the 4set bonus from the Tier9? the extra 5% crit.. Whereas for me, the 2set bonus from Conquerors means I can have additional clearcasting = more shreds, swipes, etcs..

As I said, I do have many questions xD... I hope you have time to answer them. Here they go:

1) I in fact try to stay out of fire and I am quite successful
avoiding it xD. My actual healers complain a lot about AoE damage in
some encounters. I had it for them but that was a long time ago, so I
guess they have better gear now and hands to punch keys faster :P, So
that talent is out. Thanks for the suggestion.

2) You’ve got a good point here. The thing is that in my actual
guild, the strategy to face these encounters doesn’t include getting
the boss and the thrash near to use AoE habilities. When playing like
this Swipe is a MUST or am I wrong? It makes a lot of sense; I’m going
to suggest them to do that. Changes made for this talent as well.

3) Yeah I know you can do that in Kologarn but it’s still boring :P
Just me ;). To be honest, I always got the feeling that 2 Tier8 + 2
Tier 9 was better than 4 Tier 9, but I debated this with a feral druid
friend and he convinced me that may be 4 Tier 9 was better for the
basic stats. Now looking as your DPS, I prove myself right ;) The 5%
extra crit chance for Ferocious Bite is tempting, but we won’t have
enough energy and Combo Points without affecting the rotation to use
Ferocious Bite very often, so the clearcasting proc will be better in
the overall. I'm going to give it a try and I'll let you know how it goes ;)

Now extra questions. I was looking at your armory and saw some things that called my attention:

1) I see that you have 5.35% of Hit rating chance. So that 7% cap
(Having a shammy with you) you see in forums all over the place is just
a myth? Or you’re just having Hit Rating problems? With your
experience, what you have to say on this is important to know.

2) So, do you prefer using [45820] instead of
[47915] is due to the extra 6 on Armor Pen or you just
haven’t been lucky enough to get [47915] ?

Hi Chaca,

1) 7% is not a myth.. It is what you needed to have 100% hit chance on raid bosses.. I'm having 6.35% hit rating when I'm with that gentleman Onrique(best shammy) in raid. So it is like out of 100 shreds, I'm only missing 1 or 2 shreds.. Not a big deal.. But if I go for 7% hit rating, I will have to sacrifice some CRIT, HASTE ratings.. CRIT > HASTE > HIT.. If you find yourself really missing a lot, try gemming some hit gems..

2) Yeah, no luck on that neck piece yet.. It doesn't drop for me yet.. With a +20arpen socket, it would be +60arpen altogether.

3) Runestone is way way much better than DMC.. Just that I don't have the luck to win it.. Dropped 2 times for me, won by a pally who now has MIA, another to a warrior who's busy with work now.. :( Since I seldom going back to Ulduar now, I'm trying to go for hardcapped Arpen..

I use Bad Kitty addon.. Some people will introduce FeralByNight addon.. but i find that too complicated. I prefer it simple enough to keep my rotation good. Do try out yourself to find the best addon for you.

I really like this app. I like the time he put into it, the things that were said that seem genuine. He definitely needs someone to take him under their wing...work on that UI, maybe a druid check (I'll see if I can summon an Atar or a Prim up in here), but it's the best written app I've seen in ages.

My little disc priest is a few days away from 80, as are some other alts in guild. We're gonna be hitting some heroics pretty hard...would love to have you run with us. (although we may ask you to tank...that doable?)

As I said, there's always room for improvement. I'm open to any suggestions, both from experienced druids as well as other classes that see something I can do to tune that UI.

As a metter of fact, that's my self-proclaimed roll on my actual guild; to take new lvl 80's to heroics as a tank ;) I'm lacking of proper gems and enchants for my off-spec gear, due to lack of gold, but I'm getting there. So sure I could take your alts if I get in (My toon is currently on other realm.)

Welcome to the site and the app process! I talked with you some yesterday and you seem like a good guy! We would definately look at you in my sat am raid if you wanted. It starts at 11am server. We used to always take in apps and then post how they did, behavior and such on the site for the other raid leaders and officers to see and assess. We havent been doing that as much lately but would be more than happy to see what you got.

Good luck with the app process as a whole. There will be dissection of your UI, addons, gear, gems, enchanting and talents just listen and you will learn a lot from these guys! They are very knowledgeable and very helpful!
