We have been looking for fillers on our raiding nights. i have yet to see you lookin to come in or waiting for spots. Put yourself out there, if you are looking for us we will find you.
I am so sorry, I didn't know it worked that way, I always thought I will be contacted for a trial run or something. Thousand apologies I will try to be online for the raid nights.
You are kind of competing with all the other apps, and who ever hounds us the most and wants it the most seems to get the ginvite. The harder you work, the more we will notice.
I don't think this is necessarily true. In fact, I think Josephc has a really solid app and he has been in DF recruit fairly often. Perhaps he is not active as others in chatting people up, but that is not and should not be the primary driver of a ginvite. Remember, he is from Singapopre, which means that when we're all raiding, its 6-7 in the morning there. It's not exactly prime time for him to be like "Hey guys, need fill ins?"
I think the greater problem is that neither of our 25 mans have been needing a melee dps recently, a plate melee dps for that matter. Or at least, they haven't known that they need fill ins until last minute - which, like I said above isn't really something we should be expecting from him.
But all in all, I think its a solid app. While I haven't been in group with him I cannot vouch for that, but lets refrain from saying that his not getting an invite is due to him not bugging people enough.
Maybe the solution is that we set up a pre-scheduled spot for him in a normal TOC run or something, because I think his app and his gear deserve at least a look.
1) Very nice gear but some questions on gemming. Expertise@25 is the sweet spot, hit rating above soft cap, but that seems like just the right amount. You have a runestone...but you're not gemming ArP. What's up with that? Without going into the math and spreadsheets, the rule of thumb (as i understand it) is A) gem strength if you don't have a runestone or GT, B) Gem ArP to softcap if you do have a runestone/GT. You have 31.37% passive ArP. You should try to get that to around 53% with Runestone covering the remaining 47ish%. Gemming Arp not only makes your runestone better, but in turn it will make your DV proc better as well.
2) Spec: On the whole it works, but I've got some questions/suggestions. It looks like you took Iron Will as a filler talent to get to 2H spec and Deep Wounds. However, if you check out the last 10 or so pages of EJ's fury forums, there's a lot of math on the benefits of having Anger Management, especially if you sometimes get rage-starved...given your hit rating and the fact that you took Imp Berserker Rage, I'm guessing this happens from time to time. Here's a spec that I like for fury. During single target encounters like Northrend Beasts, I switch Glyph of Cleaving to Glyph of Rend. and it will boost your dps relative to straight cookie cutter Fury spec... http://www.wowarmory.com/talent-calc.xml?cid=1&tal=3220030123300000000000000000000305053000500310153120501351000000000000000000000000000
3) I wouldn't think that latency would have an issue on an instant ability melee class so much...though running out of fire could be harder. Has this been a difficulty for you? Prim seems to be doing just fine from Singapore
4) I noticed you have a prot spec, but do you have adequate prot gear? I ask because a certain someone that is somewhat important in guild doesn't like DPS warriors that can't tank from time to time if needed. How are you at tanking?
5) You seem to be crit/agi happy in your choice of off-pieces and your Base AP is a little low for your gear level. IMHO you could stand to lose about 2% crit and still be above average, by replacing some agi pieces for Str-based pieces. In fact, you'd probably not even give up that much crit if you go for pieces with STR/Crit on them like Bloodshed Band or Executioner's Malice or Strength of the Nerub.
however i will say that if you plan to play a role as a major DPS keep a fury and an arms spec, your current position may not allow it but in the long run it is much better off.
anger management would be an incredibly smart choice considering that sometimes in encounters, it may not be quite the same, but you have to step down or hold back a few seconds when your threat jumps.. go go fury WW power, so extra threat gen may help with AM when you back off targets, also it can give you time to stance dance and rend targets for higher bleed damage. to prep for re-entry into rotation. kwon is an incredibly smart player so i'd listen to him on warrior data he started to really enjoy his.
the current spec scares me a bit too kwon both prot and fury i took anger management with fury and you know my old arms spec was beyond out there until it started to become social norm. the stun point isn't TOO bad but why not into tactical mastery stance dancing is a big part in fury dps for most fights. prot t clap was a little shocking i would think imp revenge and incite for threat? also deep wounds without the deep wounds? /scratchhead but i guess if you're doing major ot....that kinda makes sense so i guess it depends on what they always had you tanking.
on a whole seems like he has a good idea but needs some sanding.
1) 1 Rating away from Expertise soft cap (213), tested a thousand hit on dummy boss and nv got a dodge, so I sticked to that. Haven been really raiding for a long time, so didn't switch to ArP like you said. Will do if I am really raiding.
2) It is not possible to use the filler points to put into Anger Management (I need a 19/52 for it) and the way I built my warrior require it to stay 18/53. I used to take the Enrage building thinking that AoE attacks procs Enrage but did some testing and was proven otherwise so switched back to this build. And did my own testing to the Fury-Rend playstyle also, wasn't a real dps boost for me due to downtime on rage after I stance dance back and thus taking time off rotation, I only stance dance to do Shattering Throw during Heroism.
3) No, but it is a fact that if I have 400ms, it means that when I see my GCD up, it was already up 0.4s ago actually, not a big difference, but if I can have better ms that's even better =)
4) Don't have very fantastic prot gear. 38.6k hp with 65% mitigation, an off set Frost Resist Gear made for Ulduar's Hodir last time. No Tier set bonus.
5) Hmm, according to spreadsheet, all the pieces I am using except Sparkling Onyxia Tooth Pendant, Girdle of the Impaler, Melancholy Sabatons, Crimson Star and Sharpened Obsidian Edge Blade are pre-ToGC25 bis for me. It needs to be changed to Charge of the Demon Lord, Bloodbath Belt, Greaves of the 7th Legion, The Diplomat and a 2nd Justicebringer/Reckoning. Beats me why but Agi cape and neck wins Strength in term of dps according to spreadsheet. Got another top warrior from other servers (Slickz) to do a check on Landsoul's for me and turned out the same result.
look at the talent build I linked in my comment above...it is a 19/52 spec that hits anger management, as well as every single one of your Fury spec talents except for 1 point in Imp Zerk Rage
I'm not surprised that you found Fury-rending to be a non-starter...most people are very mixed on it...For myself...I've found it to be a meaningful and replicatable DPS increase on single target fights. You also do not have 3/3 tactical mastery.
The problem with the spreadsheet, and this extends to your spec choices as well, is that the spreedsheet seems to underestimate the value of hit after yellow cap. But you know as well as I do that greater hit reduces misses and smoothes out rage generation. The spreadsheet doesn't accurately take this into account imo. I'm not saying those pieces individually are bad pieces. All I'm saying is that on the whole, your AP unbuffed seems a bit light for your average gear level.
Oh ap unbuff.. I think i kinda see what is wrong here, you are looking from armory right? That doesn't take into account berserker stance bonus from talent. I am 5693 ap unbuffed with 43ish% crit.
Downfall guild is a long term guild that puts positive attitude and good hearted people above assholes with high dps. I see from your gear you have been busy for the last 5 months. Could you give me a little breakdown on your dps rotation or a print screen of a target dummy up til 500,000 dmg? Self buffed. Other than that I am worried your time zone might interfere with our raid times, what do you think about that?
Hi my rotation is WW>BT>HS spam for single target or Cleave spam for multi targets(Only if I have more than 40 rage), and Slam if bloodsurge procs. Heroic Throw when GCDs are free and bloodsurge didn't proc. I would love to post up a screenie for my dps on a dummy up to 500k dmg, but I suppose from what I did last time on dummy self buffed it would be about 4.5k dps.
bt is your main ability much greater damage than WW i thought that was the whole point of the nerf but a lot could have changed what do i know. just throws up a red flag to me
How well do you fell you can raid at 6-9/10 server time roughly monday through thursday? For that grasps a majority of the raids this guild partakes on. Again your local time is much different than ours. I would make sure this home you are looking at is suitable to your comfortable needs FIRST. I wouldn't want you to kill yourself and your schedule just because were a delicious and well rounded guild. Fun comes before intense sacrifices.
Yeah I changed my name, so sorry I forgot. The parse that I posted up was a run I had with epidemic when they trialed me for their guild about 2 weeks or so earlier. My previous name is Xlaojo. Can ask Sequence for confirmation (:
To me. It always seems the case that when I see my GCD up, it is actually 0.4s up. So that actually pulls me down in term of rotation as I can execute skills a tad earlier if I have better latency.

Hi.
Joseph (not verified) — Mon, 11/30/2009 - 14:00Yeah I know US raid timings and I have no problems with that in the near future (6 months) before I decided to apply.
I'm curious why you linked
saedo — Sat, 11/28/2009 - 14:14I'm curious why you linked Epidemic's Anub Normal kill, which doesn't seem to have you in there unless you changed names.
General question, how would a 400ms latency affect a Fury Warrior's dps?
We have a 400ms (Singapore too) Feral Druid that seems feed on latency to further boost his godly dps.
Yeah I changed my name, so
