"Vanilla WoW": Most of this was cleared at level 70, never raided any of them at the appropriate levels

Burning Crusade: All content cleared

Wrath: Ulduar 10: Got my first look at Algalon the other night =P 50% is as close as we got
Ulduar 25: Up to Vez
ToC 10: Cleared
ToGC 10: At Anub (guild has cleared)
ToC 25: Cleared
ToGC 25: None- only two attempts giving at first set of bosses.

I have some questions:

1. With 3.3 here now do you think you'll stay as destro or will you give affliction a try? Have you ever played as affliction?

2. Your bar setups make me wonder a bit about your spell usage, can you tell me your opening rotation and what you'd say you use as your subsequent priority list?

3. How is it that you keep track of when dots need to be recast?

4. Even though you're dps, I'd suggest that you grab grid and give it a try...lots of information available which is pretty handy...not an essential addon for a raiding warlock, but...tis' pretty nice to click on names while summoning rather than some other method.

5. Couple gear questions:

a. Good work on gems/enchants...those all seem to be in order.

b. What's up w/ 455 hit...you're way over cap...is there a reason you've got such a high rating? Could you pick better items w/o as much hit and more, say, haste on them? Off the top of my head i'd suggest the iLvl 245 ring from the triumph vendor.

c. Herbalism...I know you probably already know this, but you're not getting much, dps wise, from this choice...at least not relative to other professions (i.e. tailoring). Am I behind in my EJ reading, or what's up with this choice?

d. Talisman of Volatile Power - Is this the best trinket here? I wouldn't be suprised if Sundial was actually a better choice. I know it's an iLvl drop, but the restriction of a 20sec haste effect on this trink makes it suck a little. But, if'n I'm wrong about this please do inform me.

6. Can you give me an approximate dps number for what you're putting up on, say, Jaraxxus (in normal mode for comparison)?

1. With the new patch, I am truthfully undecided on what spec I would like to be. Destro is fun and I know what I am doing (sometimes lol) Affliction is a little off course for me, I have always had horrible luck with it. But, I have no problems giving it a try again to see how it pans out.

2. I am a full out clicker =P I dont have macros for anything except the 'use' on my trinkets. My rotation is CoD-Immolate-Conflag-Chaos Bolt- and then incinerate spam until the CDs are up. If the boss is close to dying i will toss up CoA rather than CoD

3. I have x-perl which gives me a dot timer

4. I do have grid set up on my Holy Priest, guess I never thought of using it otherwise.

5b. Hit cap--I guess I really never paid really close attention to it. My current guild isn't really much of a raiding guild, so having added hit %'s by other classes is hard to come by. If the server ever decides to let me on, I will head to the vendor and check out the ring.

5c. Profession--I picked up herbalism a while back as a money maker (before they had a gazillion dailies you could do). I would have no problems switching to something different to help out my dps.

5d. Trinket--I have 3 trinkets that I switch between to see how they work together. The two I have equipped and then the Eye of the Broodmother. I have not really had a chance at raiding much lately to see if any of those combinations is better than the other. Again, I will check out the vendor for the trinket.

6. After poking around on the website I found where they hide the new meters..they switched the "name brand" of it =P Here is a link for a 25 man done last week..no laughing =(

Ring--I switched out the ring I had with hit--I now have the Band of the Inovoker from the emblems

Trinket--I dropped the Talisman and grabbed the Sundial as suggested, I also replaced the Living Flame trinket (with the over 100hit) to the Eye of the Broodmother.

Pants--finally recieved a trophy and grabbed the tier leggings =)

Spec--I switched one of my specs to affliction 55/0/16 and tested it out in 25 ToC...Didn't do too well to be honest =( Though, it is something that I would be able to grasp with practice (hopefully >.<)

FWIW, it'd be worth checking

FWIW, it'd be worth checking out the EJ forums to see what they're saying about trinkets. I'm no trink-genius. Sundial isn't great, but it's not awful either. Living flame is pretty good if you need the hit. I currently use EotBroodmother and Living Flame. Neither are awesome...I keep hoping for an upgrade myself. Pit of Saron's final boss drops a kick ass trink for affliction.

Re: Affliction. If you're used to playing as destro, affliction will take some getting used to. Slamming buttons is more likely to lose you dps rather than gain it (the biggest aff vs. destro difference imo). Patience and not clipping dots is key. My opening rotation is this: SB > Haunt > Corr > UA > CoA

After that is done, I can usually squeeze in one filler SB before the haunt CD is up. You should pay attention to, and recast haunt on CD, not when it's duration is up. Then...it's all about refreshing dots: UA and CoA (without clipping them), casting haunt on CD, and using filler SB's until the target is less than 25% health, then trade Drain Life for shadow bolt. Hit the practice dummy, use Felpup, and practice practice practice. You'll see it come around.

Grats on the pants, I cant' armory you atm, but it sounds like you've made some good choices.

It can take a while to get into guild. Stay active on your app, as you have been. Hopefully we'll see you in game, eventually, and get to run some things with you!

--I was doing what i wasnt supposed to be doing with Haunt..whoopsie! Yeah, I have been destro for ages...even back in the good old days of shadow bolt spam /love I will try your rotation on the annoying target dummies and see if i do any better =P

EJ drives me insane, everyone says its a good site but i can NEVER find what I am looking for...just a bunch of posts with people correcting eachother >.<
