Raid Experience:

I don't have too end game raid experience, mainly due to being in a bad guild, but I was always maintaining 99% attendance and I was always at the top of my game. In all these raids I played the role of one of the top DPSers.

My real name is Justin. I live in British Columbia, Canada. I am soon to be 17 years old. I've been playing World of Warcraft on and off since 2006, and my total playtime is roughly 73 days. Outside of World of Warcraft, I consider myself an avid musician. I play a few instruments, Piano, Clarinet, Guitar and soon the Oboe and Alto Saxophone. I also am interested in the art of Parkour/Freerunning, or in other words, I like doing a variety of tricks indoors and outdoors (Frontflips, Backflips etc.) Upon graduation, I plan on attending the University of Victoria, majoring in Computer Sciences and Music.

I will certainly stay active and drop by the dfrecruit channel every once and a while as well. The not having a lot of room issue is understandable, because Rogues aren't exactly the hardest class to come along. I really like how community based you guys are so I feel like I'd fit right in. I haven't really felt any strong connections with the players in my current guild, and I've noticed it makes a huge impact on how enjoyable the game is. I remember back in my old guild when I'd hang out in vent for hours and play Piano for my guild mates (albeit I wasn't that great) over my headset. Those were fun times :)

You'll definitely see me around in game and around the website, thanks for the input and I hope something can be worked out!

Hello sir or madam, and welcome to the Dowfall recruitment process. If you fancy a quick invite, have thin skin, or like purps over people then don't waste your time reading what follows, just press on now. If you are a skilled player, or even a player in need of a little molding, and you have time to dedicate to dead bosses, and to a community of people that do more together then play a video game, then here's a few things for you.

Recruitment Process

Step 1 Application : Well you've already completed this step by taking the time to complete our lengthy application. Some think it's silly, we have documented proof that it easily weeds out the douchebags before wasting too much of our time.

Step 2 Who are you? : Type /join dfrecruit in game. This will put you in our global chat channel for recruits. You'll find lots of Downfall members in that channel often shouting for people for random heroics. This will get your name out there, let people get to know you. The more people you get to know, the more people will begin to comment on your application, and thus keep it "alive"

Until you start to get comments from those who excel in your class, or those who have nice/not so nice things to say about you as they get to know you, it's up to YOU to keep your application active, it's not just a matter of posting and never coming back, we are website oriented, get used to using it.

Step 3 Be There : Be online during raid times, its even better if you're on from start to finish, since people will DC mid raid. If you're apping to raid, it's a long and gruelling process. We DO need consistant silled players for both 25 man raids, and you're not the only person trying to get that spot. What we like to see is our apps posting on the raid events that they are available to fill in on a given night. Then if you've posted that you're going to be on that night, make sure to shout our a reminder in dfrecruit just as raid is about to start just to let us know you're on. It may be weeks, it may be months before you see action, but you may end up with a spot the first time you join the recruit channel.

All questions regarding raid invite status for Kitten Brigade should be directed Zariyah in game, or alt Sainttaryn.

All questions regarding raid invite status for Salmon should be directed Ataraxia.

Please do not bother the other raid leaders, they have lots to do already.

Well that's what you can expect for the next few weeks/months. We've had applicants that have waited over 3 months for an invite, we've invited people within a few days, every situation is different. So get you're name out there, get some comments, and good luck to you!

Hodir at revered. /SIGH For a non-inscriptionist claiming to want to maximize dps 13 months into this expansion and still isn't exalted....
Gemming is... more /sigh. Nightmare Tear is in a red slot, better off in a blue to grab an extra socket bonus. Cheap gem in chest. Orange gem in the uncolored belt buckle slot when red gems are always the best. You also mentioned your high ArP yet I don't see a gem of it, recent change or never gemmed?
Enchanting is... Cheap enchant on chest. Cheap enchants on weapons, the very enchants you shouldn't skimp on, get Berserking or Mongoose.

Under the assumption that I fix these issues what would you say of this app?

And in regard to the things I would have to change, since the huge poison buff went live haste has become drastically more useful since it increases the amount of poisons you apply, thus gear with haste has become much more useful.

You should've fixed it before you decided to put in an application. You claim to be extremely dedicated and put alot of research and time in to making sure your toon performs to its best abilities but Saedo has pointed out otherwise. You said that you dont have alot of end game experience due to being in a bad guild. You also said that you hated the Al'ar encounter because your terrible guild went months wiping on him. You must be one hell of a player if you are putting down your guild/guilds like that. Guilds are as strong as the people who are in it. Apparenty you must be the exception.

I fully understand that I should have fixed these errors but since I am server transfering soon, I wanted to put in this application ahead of time.

And on the topic of my guild in Burning Crusade, it was regarded as one of the worst guilds on our server at the time, mainly due to the behaviour of the raid lead. Despite this though, I still showed up for every single night of wiping. Because of how things were run though, it ended up creating a huge guild split and nearly half of the members left, and I stayed. The core group that stayed was a fantastic group of players, and I'm still friends with many of them.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind a bit more feedback, but I will resubmit this application when all of these issues are fixed.
