I've done all of Naxx, some of Ulduar up to getting inside, Solohealed OS10 w/ just 8 people, ToC10 and 25, ToGC10 up to Twins, never done ToGC25 or EOE, Icecrown up to first boss, never got him down due to poor deeps in a pug.

I did everything from Kara to BT as a Hunter, layed off the game for a while through Sunwell.
LVL 60
Everything, had 6/9 T3, 7/8 T2, 6/8 T1 but that was as an Undead Holy Priest back on my old server Spinebreaker.

I was trying to not snipe so many heals myself while healing, but from now on, I'll dump more overhealing to compensate for the incoming damage instead of healing when somebody takes damage. Somehow in this crazy World(of Warcraft), fixing something that isn't broken is actually smarter than waiting for it to break to fix it. Many thanks to everybody that dragged me along last night, I enjoyed it thoroughly! Thanks to Elapsed for sitting out for me to get evaluated. Any further issues, plz lemme know and I'll work on them (like you weren't gonna tell me =D)

Never worry about sniping a

Never worry about sniping a heal from someone, I often work under the assumption that if someone took damage that they might stand a decent chance at taking some more very soon (depending on the fight mechanics of course) so there's no reason why tossing a flash or shock, or hell a holy light when needed should be ever thought about. Like I said last night in vent, I try to make my healing as brainless as possible to pull off. When I was in my first guild in AQ40, everyone had me doubting my heals, so I'd interrupt a lot of my heals, to save mana and avoid overhealing . This ended up getting yelled at more so, have way through some fights I'd still be at 90% mana because I'd hardly thrown a heal.

what I'm trying to say is, don't worry about overhealing as much, worry about keeping everyone alive, and while grid may show someone getting an inc. heal of 11k, assume its not going to hit them if you have the mana and ability to hit your heal button (once again depending on fight mechanics)

p.s. OH and if you're on around 4pm server time I want to get some 5 mans in with ya. I even have a noob lock friend to drag through with us! lol

Alrighty then, going to switch out all gems for Yellow Int, Green Int/mp5 and Orange Int/SP gems. I picked up Grid, going to run a few instances w/ it to get the hang or it, I also picked up Quartz, tip i got from the IRC. Lemme know any other improvements.

first off, Welcome to recruitment. You are about to be scrutinized like you wouldn't believe. why you may ask? simple, we have holy pallies, and the ones in guild know what they're doing. We all have different specs and gem combos so you'll get a few diff questions.

as per your spec, while the crit is a very nice thing the math says SoB (ret tree 3% crit) is < Divinity. So as per Kaluu's advice, I would say go with Tuskarr's Vitality for the speed and move those 3 points into Divinity. However! you could say put the 2 divinity points into PoJ as he said, and then get Icewalker on the boots and use that 12 crit to make up for the 2% less healing.

Holy/ret is a good way to go, but also consider the usefulness of a Divine Sacrifice spec as well. Even after the nerf a 20% raid shield wall is a very handy tool and equates to quite a bit healing done, I know we'd still have many issues with Twin Valk if we had not had our Di-Sac rotations. But that is totally up to you on that one.

That being said make sure you get used to your addons (which it appears you are) and always make sure to have Pally Power on. Nothing more useful than that addon when it comes to organizing 5-7 pallies in a raid.

oh! one last thing, while the HP is handy on Mining when prot do you have any intentions in the future to change to a prof that is more useful in a raid? (no pressure just curious) If so I'd love to discuss and see which way you're leaning.

I haven't yet decided on another profession besides the enchanting. I took up mining just because it's easy quick money and I didn't have much at the time. A long time ago I had the Heal/Prot spec for Di-Sac but I dropped it for the large amount of crit. I'm considering making a switch back since I've got a decent amount of int that can make up for the lost crit but wasn't 100% sure of what you guys would rather me do, since ICC is supposed to be more consistant healing and not so much spikey I figured stayin Heal/Ret would be kinda weird, giving the occasional overheal to make up for a smaller healing curve. I guess that would make for spikey heals throughout consistant damage taken though. Input plz =D

well. first off can I just say you held up well to your, let's call it a "vent interview" last night. You showed you know your class and addons and whatnot.

secondly, as per profs you have several options. Enchanting is one of the ones you see the most "bang for your buck" from the ring enchants. And the best part is you see that in all 3 specs available to you. After that the sky is really the limit on which is next. Blacksmithing of course gives the 2 extra sockets which can mean another 40 int from gems, Jewelcrafting gives the 34 int gems so thats another lets say 32 int (this is assuming you gem pure int which is another convo entirely lol) Engineering (my second prof after enchanting) give you nitro boots which is 30 crit and of course the 5 second rocket boots (which has gotten me out of a lot of jams!) also you can use the cloak addons which are 23 sp and a parachute (not 100% on the sp on that) and for ret or prot the 23 Agility with parachute is super nice (1 extra agi over the enchant and the parachute) Then you have Inscription for the shoulders, leatherworker for the cool bracer enchants and cheap Super cheap leg patches. and so on and so forth.

Ok now let's address spec, I came into this guild (not very long ago mind you in fact if you go to the pally apps you can see mine lol) as holy/prot. I kept the spec (with a few modifications) and have seen the Kitten Brigade pallies do the same, Even Garreth which shocked the hell outa some of us! They said they changed healing in this patch, well I'm not seeing it as much yet. In fact sarofang (when he gets a mark out) and the tank on the horde boat. Spike like crazy! which is where we come in. Since the new change to how a divine sacrifice is applied we now spread the holy pallies throughout the raid to get the party part of DS up where we need it the most, while still getting that added raid CD. So is it handy still? you damn well betcha! is it a requirement this time around for progression? No, I don't think so, at least not yet. We still have quite a few bosses to see though. So as for now, how you spec is up to you I would think. The crit you have is very nice, and makes most of us pretty jealous because we've been this spec for quite sometime (in my case since Ulduar came out)

um seeing as I've rambled here for a bit, and since Stephanie went to work and I can get back to sleep I think I will leave it at that and pass the fuck back out. look forward to seeing your thoughts on what I left ya here!

For a long time now i've been looking for a reason to pick up engineering. I had it on a hunter a long time ago and I was absolutely in love with it. Now it seems, I'm going to get the chance to get to know it all over again. Think i'm gonna take engineering to go w/ my already 450 enchanting.

As far as my healing spec goes atm, I think I'm going to stay w/ the crit for now and probably within the next month or so when I start getting some better spellpower (i'm still wearin a ilvl 200 shield and ilvl 213 mace :P) I'll make the switch over to the Holy/Prot spec that I've seen on all of your armory pages. I feel that right now I need to have that crit to make up for the fact that I'm still lacking in pure healing, my sp is good but still not what I feel is good enough. That opinion could change within the next day or so though, since i'm gonna give the prot/holy tree you guys have a try. Who knows maybe I'm just loopy thinking that the crit is better than the 20% dr on Di-Sac, but then again, I'm coming from pugs that never knew wtf a Di-Sac rotation was, and to be honest, I had never thought of it in the first place. But that is something I'm overjoyed at, the fact that I'm getting to collaborate with people that know my class better than me finally. (Yikes! That sounded big-headed)

Any thoughts?

PS: Did you tweak that HDR mod and get it a little more, i dunno, bearable?

I wouldn't even normally had been up had she not had to leave for work so damned early. Anyhow, Yes Engineering is a blast, Many in our raids have it and having people with Jeeves is a damned handy thing too (easy to get and make) And for once Blizz actually made it useful!

As per rotations, yeah we have ones for fights like 25 H-Anub. When he hits 25-26% we start with a di-sac, then when the first wears off, the next gets popped, so on and so forth. Of course pre-arranged! As per your gear, I'm totally cool, as I'm sure we all, with you waiting till you get rid of that lesser gear before you change. Oh shit in fact this just reminded me I wanted to see if I could get the imp Dsac in my ret spec, otherwise I need to reallocate the points elsewhere. And please, sound big-headed! when you read up on stuff, and do your research and you have something to contribute to the raid, or to us pallies please share it and stand up for your reasoning.

as per the HDR no I opened the config, and was blown away by the options. I think I'm going to reduce the bloom.... but TBPH I'm really unsure which bloom! after my daily heroic and whatnot I'll look around to see if people have been talking about it at all

Your usage of a mp5 meta gem makes no sense, as a holy paladin you already can over heal for 40-80% plus 3% on top of your meta gem. You gemming 1 socket for haste+ mp5, and your usage of spelllpower/mp5 and a full mp5 gem doesn't make sense. You get more out of gemming every socket for int, or gemming for spellpower/int or int/mp5.

How well do you get out of fires, or when fires land on you? If you can get out of fires, GREAT! But if you're not, then I would advise you to drop 2 points of divinity and stick them into PoJ, OR, reenchant your boots for tusker's. A dead holy pally is one that doesn't heal after it is dead.
