Pacific NW Downfaller's!!
ALnwick — Fri, 01/29/2010 - 13:33
Hello All,
Some of you may, or may have not noticed that I havent been online for quite sometime (the latter is more likely). I am once again in Angel Fire, NM for the Winter and this po-dunk village has the worst internet ever!!! And since I just graduated college in December I am going to be staying here through March, so I probably wont have a very good chance of getting back into WOW for a few more months (which I am eagerly anticipating).
I am posting this because I wanted to get some advice and tips from some of our Pac NW guildies about some great places to visit! When the Winter ski season is over here in March I plan on driving up the West Coast from San Diego to Seattle. I really want to see the Red Wood Forest, Crater Lake, Yosemite etc..
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!
Alnwick (Nate)

What do you mean when the ski
starstalker — Sat, 01/30/2010 - 13:09What do you mean when the ski season is over in March? In the NW, it goes until May (and later!) =P

Grasen — Sat, 01/30/2010 - 18:17he;s in New Mexico i thought atm.
Oo..
Popplegem — Fri, 01/29/2010 - 23:12Let me know when you get closer! I want to come see you finally! we can talk rocks, because NO ONE ELSE IN THIS GUILD WILL TALK ROCKS WITH ME AND YOU ALL SUCK BECAUSE OF IT.
he he, just kidding
Um.. You gotta check out the CRBs.. you read so much of them and then you can see them.. the missoula floods are here too. lol. There are some great sights in Seattle. Make sure you check out the Fremont troll. Let me know when you're coming through! It's easy to stop in the Tri-Cities on your way to Portland from new Mexico.. it's faster because you're on a major highway.
I think Popple is talking
garreth — Fri, 01/29/2010 - 23:53I think Popple is talking about the people in her head who won't talk rocks with her because she can't be referencing us: she hasn't posted on the site, logged into vent or hopped on in game in months!
It's funny that you mention
Shihli — Fri, 01/29/2010 - 23:18It's funny that you mention no one will talk rocks with you ...
... when you don't post anything on the website and don't log in game.
Obviously there's the Space
Shihli — Fri, 01/29/2010 - 19:10Obviously there's the Space Needle. I'd also recommend hitting the EMP (Experience Music Project) in Seattle as well.
I highly reccommend Crater
Derchlon — Fri, 01/29/2010 - 18:07I highly reccommend Crater Lake. It is by far one of my favorite locations on earth. It's better during the summer, but I'm sure Winter would work well too.
I second the Crater Lake
starstalker — Sat, 01/30/2010 - 13:09I second the Crater Lake idea. Its absolutely beautiful.
You have to go see Mt. St.
Saja — Fri, 01/29/2010 - 17:08You have to go see Mt. St. Helens. If it's a weekend, we'll take you up to Johnson Observatory if it's not snowed in :)
Also if you can make it to the Columbia Gorge: Vista House, Multnomah Falls, Hood River
Hit Portland. Starstalker and
garreth — Fri, 01/29/2010 - 14:10Hit Portland. Starstalker and I will take you up to Timberline and (hopefully) show you some decent northwest snow.
very cool
ALnwick — Wed, 02/17/2010 - 12:35thanks for all of the great ideas.. I will get in touch for sure. I am really looking forward to getting up that direction. :)
