As far as playing in-game, I quit the game a few months ago; but after having spent 5 years in this game and in this guild, I don't want to just leave the community aspect of it all behind. So I linger on the forums and log in on my girlfriend's account every once in a while.

But I understand not playing the game I ran my guild for 3+ years and played prior to that for quite a while. It was time for me to move on and be apart of another community --- I found one.... lol
Love it in downfall but also realize I too will one day leave the game but always have been a believer in the fact that the game is more about the relationships I have and like I have always told those I played iwth in my last guild .....
I hope the friendships we develop will last beyond the game and many have.... :)

I play a good helping of games on my XBox 360. Just picked up Modern Warfare 2, and I've got a number of other decent online games that I play on XBL infrequently.
From the sounds of it all, you've got the right idea on why to play online games. I played WoW for over 5 years and I'm glad I did - I made a lot of friends in the process, most of which I talk to at least once a week. There's no point in committing that much time to something, particularly an online game, if you don't have anything to show for it when your time is up. Learned that lesson from playing other MMO's before WoW.
