SC2 noob needs help with his 2v2 team
Felsteel — Wed, 09/22/2010 - 20:18
Hiya guys, hope everyone is doing great. I've recently started playing SC2 2v2s with a friend's husband. We are still in Copper League and we are rolling P/Z. We are starting to work better together the more we play. Was wondering if some of you pro guys have any tips/tricks/build orders/ or just plain ole good advice for my team mate and I. Would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

There's a few things you have
Grussles — Sat, 10/16/2010 - 15:59There's a few things you have to remember...I'm a zerg player and I spent most of my time in plat with a short stint into daimond...highest rank was 6th place in daimond league...number 1 is mineral saturation...for zerg its a bit different but for t and p you should ALWAYS be training scvs or probes...don't stop until you have 26-30 in your base...but having minerals is half the battle because you need to have the production to match it...for protoss i'd reccomend 2 gates then refinery cybercore robo bay and twilight council and make sure you research warp gates charge and blink. Get an obv out with the robo bay see what they're doing then plan accordingly I.e. if they have a lot of air get more stalkers if they have a lot of armored get more immortals and if they have a lot of light get more collosus. Another trick I'm very partial to is when you have 1 base saturated you wanna throw down 3 forges and make each one research a different upgrade...haveing the upgrade advantage makes a huge difference
For zerg its a different story because you don't queue units...you either make it or you don't but I've found the best mid-endgame strat is to go 13 pool (have 13 drones before you put down the spawning pool) get 3 more drones then put your expo down. By then the pool should be almost done...I get a queen 3 sets of lings and 2 crawlers down th
Then I replace the 2 drones
Grussles — Sat, 10/16/2010 - 16:05Then I replace the 2 drones that I used to make the crawlers and from there you go hard economy to saturate your main base...scouting is very important though...with those six lings you can take the eyes and you can send a couple to the base to make sure they aren't gonna do an early push...if they are the best bet is baneling if not then spam drones til you have a good income...now the best thing to go is either a roach hydra build against zerg or toss players and a ling/muta harass works against terran players the best...with ling muta you can contain them to their main base and get broodlords pretty easily and with roach/hydra you have a substantial ground army that really only thors can stand against...the key to sc2 though is scouting your oponent a good economy and good production
If you have steam hit me up @

Ewiges — Wed, 10/13/2010 - 22:32May have been me fel. I got everyone in DF added to my friends list. I have a lot of people from different communities that I am a part of ending up with about 50 people on my SC2 friends list.
I was wondering who that
Felsteel — Wed, 09/29/2010 - 06:42I was wondering who that person was that whispered me the other day was. Sorry i missed it, was putting kids to bed. no I don't have steam though.
We have been making progress though we are almost out of bronze and starting to get better at playing and working together. One thing thats killing us is neither of us is used to scouting and I cant scout to save my life.
