I realize that this is a very long time coming given that I have
hardly logged into the game for six months. However, I wanted to make it
official: I will not be returning to WoW for Cataclysm, as much as in
some ways I would like to.

I simply have too many important things going on in my life right now
to play WoW anymore. I have time to play games, but I can't really
afford to make a firm commitment to raiding or serious arenas on
particular nights at particular time slots at this point. Doing so would
make me schedule those other important things around a hobby. It is a
hobby
that I have enjoyed very much for a long time, but I don't think I would
enjoy playing the game very much unless I can raid or do serious PvP.

I love playing WoW and I am going to miss playing with you
guys, but I think there's a strong chance that I won't be playing ever
again. WoW was my first MMO when I started playing in May 2005 and it
has become my favourite game of all time. I would count many people in
this guild as being among my best friends, but I just don't think there
is likely to be a time in the immediate future when I will be able to
give the game as much of my spare time as I feel is necessary to enjoy
it.
