garreth — Sun, 11/28/2010 - 11:33The Twin Emps kill is still one of the most epic ever for me - second only to our first 2.0 Illidan or 1.0 Razuvious, I think. I don't exacly MISS Vanilla, per se, but the magic and the discovery of it all for the first time still sticks with me. We've all become just a little bit jaded these days, methinks :P
I definitely DO NOT miss guild drama, especially between 1.0 and 2.0. Seriously, fuck that time. I think it's a big accomplishment that, overall, we've left the drama behind us.

So then after MC raid let out, 40 guildies proceeded to sweep the zone taking out every horde in sight. They'd all start in a line at the top and just move down the zone...oh the good old days :)

Seeing how long you can prevent a 40 man MC raid from raiding because you're corpse camping their healers. Bakka did not allow us to be late for raid, we were clearly instructed to corpse run to MC if needed and not to help eachother out fight horde.
Rogues actually being able to use stealth to farm, even BC let us do this!
Oh yeah, I take all credit for Catacylsm. Shortly after BC and flying mounts were announced I suggested in the suggestion forums that Azeroth should be redone for the next expansion moving forward in time and allowing flying mounts.

I think they nerfed him some time in BC though, and there is never anyone in Duskwood anymore anyways. :(
Also remember griding elites that were a level or two higher then me on my hunter. Blizz got rid of all of them though.

Gift of the Naaru had a cast time, and only scaled with spell healing.
Mend Pet was channeled.
Misdirection had 3 charges, and was the best way in most situations to pull a boss.
Disengage was a melee attack that simply lowered your threat a little.
Readiness was the 41pt Survival talent
Expose Weakness increased raid attackpower against the boss by 25% of your agility. (I miss those days the most)
Bestial Wrath was 18 seconds, and made you immune to CC.

1. This top spot is owned by WPL and EPL as they were when my paladin finally started to feel like a paladin in this game.
2. Blackrock Mountain, although it might return it will never be quite teh same as it was in vanilla. I remember spending hours ganking people on their way up to Blackrock Spire while trying to avoid the constant stream of 40 man raids.
3. The many wars I had in Southshore and Hillsbrad foothills

I haven't really done anything quite so epic since, from a pvp perspective.
