This is long, I think "At work Material when You're Really Really Bored" 

It all started with an application:

Either. Doesn't really matter to me.

In Which I good naturely replied with:

Your hit is extremely low, and the empty gem slots leave a lot to be desired for. Somethings you should look to approve on;

• Getting 5/5 Supression (First Tier, Affliction)
• Gemming your gear - Preferably Spell Hit and/or Spell Damage gems to help alleviate your low hit
• New Legs (Spellstrike, Black Morass 2nd Boss, Heroic Shattered Halls 2nd Boss, Botanica 3rd Boss)
• Your Spell Crit is low - so it would be preferable to be affliction, because your DPS will be gimp because of low spell damage, hit & crit.

Working on these, you'll see a clear improvement on your DPS, Resists and General Performance in Groups, Raids.

I'm still gearing up wherever I can, so my stuffs usually better every day. I know my pants suck something fierce. Trust me, their the piece of gear I hate the most. If any better ones drop I'll take 'em in a heartbeat!

Yeah, Suppression...not a fan. I rarely get resists from anything, and when I do it's almost always one of my curses. I'd rather spend points in Curse of Weakness and Improved Imp to help parties in a raid, and CoW reducing the boss' DPS overall has been, at least in my experience, a factor in keeping tanks alive when things don't run perfectly.

Trust me - Gems are my next major purchase...unless I get revered with Cenarion for my new sexy epic mount

Yeah...I could never do affliction...

It just doesn't do it for my type of game play. I prefer Demonology overall, but find I'm more useful as destro because people are like "ZOMG! Use Imp in raid. We want more HP."

So, yeah. Bite me.

Haha, nah. It's all a matter of opinion here. I think being able to be utility belt for people until I get better gear is better than an overall DPS unless were short Warlocks. Like I said, matter of opinion.

 I rebuttled:

Hit is an essential - not a "something that's nice to have"

You need 16% - for Affliction or Destruction.

If you really want to raid, getting your gear gemmed to a reasonable standard (even greens as a filler) would be more important then "Cenarion Expedition Epic Flying Mount".

And your gear doesn't do Destruction justice, you'll be undercutting the DPS because of its High critical strike reliability.

Edit: Warlocks aren't a Utility class - Shadow Priests are a Utility DPS - Warlocks are not. You're mean't to provide the best DPS you can, having soulstones, healthstones and summons is just an added benefit. Also, your spec isn't a matter of opinion, it is evidently proven that Destruction requires really good gear to provide;

16% Hit
20% Crit
1000 Spell Damage (or Shadow/Fire)

While as Affliction;
16% Hit (10% from Talents)
650 Spell Damage (or Shadow Fire) - which is really easy to achieve.

As you can compare, the requirements for affliction are farless to achieve its basic level of effectiveness, where as Destruction is much more demanding.

I've been on this server for, what, maybe 2 days. And all I've herd is people with poor spelling and grammar putting in their two cents about problems with my gear, my build, and pretty much everything else concerning my character.

And you know what? Most of them are right. I'm under-geared, don't follow any specific build, and have 'weird' priorities about what I spend gold on in-game. But, as I've clearly stated, I'm still *collecting* gear. So while I may not yet meet the requirements for an ideal Destruction Warlock, I'm getting pretty damn close to it, and this is before gems and enchantments.

That's how I play this game. And that's what it is. I'm here for fun. Now, I can take criticism, and yeah, I will often follow advice. But don't expect conformity to a single view of how I should play my character. I'm no fool. I know the limitations and issues with my character, after all, I am playing him. And so far, despite their comments about my characters, no one has ever called into question my abilities as a player.

What works for you may not work for someone else. If you guys can't deal with that, then this obviously isn't the place for me and I'm sorry to have wasted your time.

I'm not out to attack you, I was showing you what you needed to approve on and how to do so, giving advice on what the best solution would be. No one expects complete conformity, it isn't some dictatorship, but it's like someone applying for a job they're not qualified to do - they might be able to do it, but they won't be able to do it well cause they don't have the neccesary education.

You applied to raid, I just merely said your gear is insufficient to be in which of an raiding environment. Also, sadly you're not close to it, it takes a lot of effort, commitment and gathering gear from instances, PvP, Reputation and heroics to even reach the bare minimum for destruction.

Even with gems, enchantments.

I applied to join the guild, not to raid. If I choose to raid later, it will be the choice of you guys weather or not to let me in.

It's also odd that I managed to run Kara with this build and much worse gear back on Burning Blade when I was with Dark Judgement, hold my own damage-wise, and never cop any complaints. Also 'neccesary' is actually spelled 'necessary' sweetums.

Not overreacting here. Just providing my thoughts and observations.

 

After all this, absent Guild Master who never plays Wow but trolls forums makes a new topic in Recruitment thread:

 I've been reading through the applications and am wondering since when does my guild require ppl to respec or have certain gear in order just to join?? I made it perfectly clear when i started flare that we DON'T CARE about numbers. What happened to this? When I come back to wow if anyone is telling other ppl to respec or you can't raid, your gone, no questions asked, I don't care how much you've helped the guild. YOU BREAK THE RULES, YOU WILL BE KICKED!!!!!

Firstly, who the fuck are you? Secondly, I'm sorry my mother in law had open heart surgery and I had to take some time off wow to see her well again. If you don't know, I helped get most of the original members of flare geared and atuned. The first time we raided most of us were in greens and the "experts" didn't even think we'd down attumen, but we made it to maiden. Pull your head in mate, this is my guild. And mathos, we should be back in the next couple of weeks sometime.

 Then the In-game "Provisional" guild master's Wife said:

No one has heard from Kag in months and this is he first post he makes. Its a slap in the face to everyone in the guild who has worked so hard to progress.

 

So in response, guild members all leave and re-made another guild called PurEnvy to get away from him and his wife - very Lemonn & Crossgrip Imo.

All to think a little bit of raiding advice can turn into such a cockfest...
